As a college student/massive nerd, I end up reading a fairly large amount of books every year (I think I went through about...20 to 30 in the past couple semesters, most of which are academic since I don't get a lot of time for "fun" reading. Or something like that). How many do you end up reading per year?

I used to really love reading and would just devour books left and right. However things have gotten busy and I don't have time like I used to to curl up with a good book.

I am in a graduate program and the reading is between 125 and 250 pages a night. So that probably translates to a ridiculous amount. Not much time for pleasure reading.

Same. I don't even keep track. But besides reading for school, I also read a good deal on my own, so probably 30+.

I love reading romance novels. I know it seems lame but it's such a break from reality so I look forward to it.

I love reading, and my Baby always says I read fast like crazy. So I can always read a lot of them whenever I want to.

I love to read too, I just haven't had a lot of time this year. I really want to get back into books though! Other than Eden, it's probably my favorite hobby.

I've read 36 so far this year. I usually read 75-100 per year.

It depends on what I'm doing. Between full-time work and running a company on the side, I don't get as much time for it as I used to, and never as much time as I did when I was a receptionist just after college. I had 8 hours a day, 5 days a week for it. But I'm also a speed reader, so when I get time, I can knock them back quickly. But I am also picky about books. I prefer non-fiction, or classics, so it takes me time to find new books.

On my schedule now, about 10 a year.

I am currently a Revolutionary War research writer and read lots of books, journals, old documents, and diaries. It becomes even more difficult when reading sentence and word choices people use in that period of our history. Many historians find the need to modernize the spelling and punctuation of the eighteenth-century prose. In some ways however, readers and biographers hesitate to forfeit the special period flavor that comes from preserving all the oddities of contemporary writing. This awkward and stilted style to modern readers make it hard to understand the message or meaning which those people used simply because of a lack of education of the person in question. I find, however, that the more material that I read, the easier and closer you become connected to the lives lived by those in our distant past!

I love to read.. I may go throught about 50 or so I try to read a book a week (cause with work a book a day is hard work)

On average I read about 3 a week so about 150 a year. (All fiction mostly fantasy and the books range from 250 pages to 450 pages)
