Which do you guys like better? I'm a cat person myself.. so, i would go with cats, but i do know alot of dog people too!

I'm a "cat" person, but that's largely because I've only ever had one dog in my life. I loved him dearly, but since then, I haven't had dogs due to living constraints.

However, once I get older and I have my own place, you can bet your bum I'll have a tail-wagger to go along with my cats.

I am a "cat" person. They are easier to maintain for me. I have had dogs but don't like them that much, yay they are cute, but not for me.

I really, really, really dislike (borderline loathe) cats. My mother owned 2 while I was living with her, and I hated every encounter I had with either cat. Too many war wounds to count.

I've had 3 dogs in my lifetime (2 presently), and I just love dogs. I never want to go without having a dog in my life.

Dogs are messy and far to dependent. Cats are much more independent. And they exercise their intelligence far more often. So cats over dogs. Then again, large hound dogs like bloodhounds are simply adorable. And it's fun to play with their wrinkles. So while I like cats better, I'll make an exception for certain types of dogs.

My family has two cats and one day. I can't stand the dog. He has so much energy and is way too much for me. On the other hand our cats are fat and lazy and looooove to cuddle. I'm a cat person for life.

This is hard!! I love cats and dogs. My family has 1 cat (who used to have a brother but he died, the survivor is 14) and 2 dogs! Right now I'm in college and have a kitten in my apartment who I LOVE TO DEATH, but I really like animals in general!

They are both sweet animals, in their own way, but a DOG can be a real friend. A cat, from what I have seen, is more of a companion, on THEIR terms, but I have no doubt there are some cats that are really close to their people!!!

That's us...love all animals. I'm just allergic to cats, so never had one.

I am allergic to all cats, but there are a few breeds of dogs that do not bother me, so I have to say dogs. Though I wish I could have a cat, they are smaller and are more self-sufficient.

I actually like both about equally, but prefer cats due to my energy level being a bit low for the kind of activity dogs usually require.

There's also the fact that both can be equally loving, but cats are more like myself, as we enjoy our personal space as much as our time with others. And I can't help but admire the independence and self-assured personality that most kitties have. I wish I could be more like that.

Dog's all the way! Their obedience, love and affection are unsurpassed. Not to mention the comfort of protection they offer. We have more than a few dogs in the house right now and they are very much our children. Each with there own unique personality.

Definitely dogs because I'm extremely allergic to cats. Not to mention, I've grown up with dogs my entire life; I have a much better bond with them and even helped train/rehabilitate some for the local SPCA over here. Plus, there's only one cat I've ever gave a damn about and it was my sister's Russian Blue cat. I miss her a lot.

I loathe dogs. They're clingy, jumpy, needy. They follow you around demanding every bit of your attention. They smell horribly. And they're ugly as frick. The ex had two big dogs that he would let lay in his bed. Those things shed like crazy and I started finding dog hair in places on my body that I should never find dog hair.

Cats are much more low-maintenance. They clean themselves. Keep to themselves for the most part. Keep their litter box clean and put out food and water and you're good. That's it.

That said, though, if I lived on my own, whilst I am a cat person, I don't think I would own a cat. I really don't have any desire to take care of one.

Definitely cats! They're so soft and fuzzy and cute and squishy and cuddly and fluffy, plus they got those sharp little claws and teeth that can rip you to shreds if you piss 'em off. Plus I like that they don't hump my leg or whine or bark. If I ever got around a large cat (like a tiger) that was tame enough (or handled enough) that you could pet it, etc...you'd never get it away from me.

Cats.. I have 2 of them and a Miniature Schnauzer. My wife loves her little puppy, however her Persian is her princess (Bella). Something says sexy about a beautiful women and a Persian cat.

Guys buy your wife or girlfriend one they will love you. Only thing is be prepared to help pick up the fur. It goes everywhere. LOL

I love dogs but I prefer cats. Dogs are more "needy" then cats. I know when I go to work and have a cat I don't have to worry about the cat at home having separation anxiety.

Definitely a cat person. I feel like I can co-exist with a cat. Dogs are more like children. They are a commitment, and if you don't put in the time and effort you have a miserable out of control dog.

I can do either but I currently have dogs. My Chihuahua makes me feel like I am actually needed/wanted by something. Since my youngest kid is older now she does not need me as much as she did when she was young. The dog replaces the lost feeling.
