Sooo there's a website called, "christianswingers.com ". The copy on the site basically says, "here's a discreet way to hook up with other couples in your area without being judged by peers, PTA members, your church, etc.", and the image on the main page has the couple's faces blurred out.

Is there anyone here who is a practicing Christian and also a swinger? If so, how do you align that with the doctrine of your faith?

We are NOT swingers, but do have a lot of fun with the sexual area of our marriage. My hubby and I are practicing Christians and have a strong faith. We also realize that as long as we "cleave only to each other", then we are also free to explore our sexual selves as we see fit and agree upon together.

We have a few basic 'rules' we agreed upon with no compromise--good thing we both feel the same way! The internet has really opened up the options for us to explore our fun ideas in a safe manner for us and our relationship.

--We are exclusive sexually, not allowing others to touch, become personal or enter our personal space.
--We play together...not separately.
--No third parties and no interactions with anyone in a personal manner--no emails, phone calls, etc. (EF is a slight bit of a different situation, I am on here with his knowledge and as agreed upon, do not give out info related too much into our personal daily life but do interact with the other members. I will not reveal my actual identity, but do keep everything honest and open without too much info.)

Superb question. There is a group in this city that has, for years, practiced for real "wife swapping". The real deal. You go out to dinner and everyone goes home with someone NOT their spouse. Some of these people still have little kids at home, so while I know for a fact it happens, I don't know the dynamics of how they pull this off. I do know that it is very, very for real. I have heard it from multiple "members" of their little "club". I also know that they are all members of the same very conservative line "Christian" church. How they reconcile those two lines of thought has, on more then one occasion, baffled us as well. This same "group" actually protested (signs and pickets...the whole shebang)against a new Bar/Grill that wanted to have a patio where alcohol could be served! Oh my...sure cannot be walking home with your friends wife and have your eyes burned out by seeing someone drinking a beer in the open!

Commandments 7 and 10 fly directly in the face of swinging...I was really shocked to find this site. To date, it seems to be the most hypocritical example of Christian doctrine gone awry.

It's just seriously frying my brain...it makes no sense to me whatsoever and I was raised Baptist, then married a Catholic so I'm pretty well-versed on the upstanding Christian lifestyle (and I know it does NOT involve swinging).

True...but we do have fun with the cam sometimes and we are voyeur/exhibitionists (nothing 'caught', all consentual.) That can be misconstrued by many as borderline swingers-there is even a category for it in the groups. We have never been part of any group and never will, preferring to keep our personal things between us.

I was raised Lutheran but have really moved away from spirituality because i just don't feel that you need to believe in a "lifeguard god" to be a good person and have morals and values. I don't want to not sleep with someone outside of my relationship because some "person above" is judging me and is going to send me to "hell" i want to not sleep with them because it would break the trust that i have garnered in my relationship and would disrespect my partner. And religious swinging? Adorable, as adorable as christian mingle, but i guess to each their own.
