Normal fries: either plain, ketchup or cheese sauce.
Sweet potato fries on the other hand? Caesar. Something about the salty Parmesan and fishy anchovies works so well with it.

It depends on my mood and the cut of the fry for me. The fries that Big Boy serves cry out for mayo. the fresh cut fried in peanut oil are best with vinegar.

I agree, the "steak or large cut fries" I always eat with BBQ and the normal ones I usually eat plain...

Sweet potato fries I like ketchup or bbq sauce, or just plain sea salt.

But my favorite, FAVORITE is regular fries with some kind of aioli or hand seasoned mayo. Ive been to a couple nice french restaurants the past couple years ranging from french street food to semi-fine dining, all featuring some variant of the so called frites. One place had truffled frites with aioli. It was TO DIE FOR. Now I'm hooked. It's truly a masterpiece. I would never have predicted it for myself because I HATE mayo. Hate it. But by golly, the french know how to cook. Fries included. Sounds gross, I know, but TRUST them. Because it's like coming to french fry heaven.

My favorite thing to eat fries withis ranch, But I alsoeat them with BBQ sauce, ketchup, and sometimes form the the chocalte frostie that you can get from wendeys.. It just depends.

I don't use anything IF I eat fries. The only time I eat fries is if I baked them. I don't eat at fast food places.

It depends on where the fries came from. From McD's or someplace like that that has pretty good fries, I eat them plain. If I bake them myself, then with ketchup. But if I go to Perkins, I usually eat them with ranch dressing for some reason.

I love ketchup -- but I've never known anyone to mention eating them with vinegar. I would think they'd get too soggy (though it sounds good)!

It depends...

At Wendy's I eat my fries with a chocolate frosty.

At McDonalds's I eat em with sweet'n'sour sauce.

At good ol time-y diners, it's ranch all the way.



At home, or other places, it's usually ketchup because the ranch is never as good.
