Creepypasta!

Is anyone else here a massive fan of Creepypasta!?
(link)
Creepypasta is a twist on the word "copypasta," which is an internet term for copy and paste, or stories/posts/whatever that is often posted on message boards or other places around the internet. So, Creepypasta is sort of internet urban legends and/or creepy (usually short) stories that are spread around by whoever finds them.

I LOVE creepypasta! Anything creepy is just awesome to me, and there's so much great creepypasta around the internet, it's mind-boggling.

And of course, /x/ on 4chan.

And my all-time favorite place to discuss all things creepy: link
Check it out!

There's something really magical about good creepypasta to me. Especially some of the stories that really go above and beyond just a spooky story and genuinely eat at the back of your mind!
Of course, there are plenty of images that go along with this as well. A quick google search will turn up plenty if you're visually inclined!

Creepypasta are often very short and easy to consume in little time. This makes it accessible and interesting to those of us with internet-time attention spans

So what do YOU think about creepypasta? Are there any creepers out there already?

I'll share with you some of my most favorite creepypasta and other creepy sorts of things:
link "The Holder Series" is very popular. It's not one of my favorites, but it seems to have plenty of fans!

link "Dragarias Nectar" is semi-connected to the Holders, and this is easily a favorite of mine! It's a "ritual" creepypasta, one of my favorite types

link The SCP foundation is a place where you can get lost for hours. It's full of articles about strange, paranormal artifacts and such. Some of them aren't all that great, but many are really incredibly fascinating to read!

link 200 Phenomena in the City of Calgary is also a favorite of mine. This is full of short entries detailing rituals and other paranormal happenings. Really fascinating!

link the Russian Sleep Experiment creepypasta is an absolute staple of the creepypasta world! It's totally insane, and very very graphic. Be warned (text only, though)

link The Most Annoying Sound In The World is another cool one. There's no sound on the page and no, it doesn't end with a screamer or anything like that, just a story! No need to worry

And last but CERTAINLY not least, CANDLE COVE! link
This is by far my favorite creepypasta ever, and I think everyone needs to read it! GET TO IT!
I don't want to spoil it for you, just GO!! (and of course, don't worry there are no scary pictures or noises or anything, just text!)

So... yes! What do the Edenites think of Creepypasta?

And of course, there's the story of Vox and King Beau.
link
This is a VERY long read. It reads more like... sort of a creepy fairytale almost. It's impressive, to say the least. I think this story deserves an epic movie, and a lot more fanart than it already has!
This is a time consuming one, but well worth it.
It's fascinating, creepy, dramatic and compelling and just awesome!!

Aww no fun! The creepy stuff definitely isn't for you then (unless you like nightmares! )
I'm sort of a fear masochist... Hate being scared, but I love the creepy stuff. I don't get it either >.>

I'm an absolute "horror masochist." Even if I find myself glancing around nervously and wrapping myself up tight in a blanket with my face barely peeking out, I love scary stuff, and once I get in the mood for it I usually spend several days on the topic. Creepypastas are one of my favorite ways of scaring myself silly! My favorite source, for convenience's sake, is the Creepypasta Wiki. This person also does some nice readings of shorter pastas.

My favorite (and one of the "pop stars" of the creepypasta community) is the Slender Man mythos. So many different takes on it, and most of them are downright terrifying, while at the same time there's enough jokes about Slendy to help keep you calm. I'm very tempted to get the Marble Hornets DVD someday.

A few other favorites are Candle Cove, Ted's Caving Page, NES Godzilla Creepypasta, and In The Mirror.

Special mention to Blueberries. It's not the scariest one I've ever encountered, but it's the only one that ever made me cry, because I was so horrified for the narrator.

Edit: Hahaha! I didn't even realize that you used the term "fear masochist" before I called myself a "horror masochist"! That's pretty funny.

Awesome!
Oh man Slenderman is the SHIT! I've managed to turn so many friends onto the mythos! It's a beautiful thing. I know I really have had my times where I am LEGIT terrified that Slendy is going to show up in the yard if I look out the window...
I actually haven't read ted's caving page or NES godzilla!! I'll check those out now Haven't read blueberries, either I don't think! Awesome...

It's fantastic to see other Creepers around here! It's like this community gets better and better every damn day! You guys rock

When I first encountered works about Slendy, I had the same reaction, especially when I had to walk to work early in the morning when it's still dark (Philadelphia has a surprising number of trees, I noticed...). It doesn't hit me too often anymore, but sometimes...

Ted's Caving Page and NES Godzilla Creepypasta are pretty long, but well worth the read. The latter is apparently getting a sequel sometime soon, too.

I've actually got an idea for one that I may write and submit to one of the archives. If I go through with it, I'll come back and post a link and see if I have any ability to scare you guys.

Oh, Slendy I just love how something created in one little forum can become so huge and so very real!

I read through ted's caving page last night (havent gotten to godzilla yet) and holy wow that was awesome! It was believable, not too over the top and really scary I loved the open ending, too! Thanks for linking it

I always LOVE to read new creepypastas!! I say GO FOR IT, big time! I know I'd share it with all my friends. Do come let us know if you get that done!

My stepdad is a photographer and I got him into Slenderman. We have a project on the backburner (behind all my star wars and comic book costumes and all that!) to make a life sized slenderman model and photograph him in appropriate places... I think it would be an awesome addition to the mythos, and no photomanipulation needed! If/when this gets done, I will absolutely share here
