I had the time of my life on the carnival cruise we went on, it was only 7 days, but it was fun! When the boat docked we stayed onboard because there was so much to do! However, I will never ever again go on one. My mom was stopping by to check on our house. It was freezing weather here (in the teens) and our gas heater went out, Causing pipes to burst. My mom had no idea what to do. This happened on the second day we were at sea, and it was virtually impossible to get ahold of us. Our cell phones had no service, and the cruise line number never went through. She scoured the internet for contact information, and called numerous numbers and they told her the same thing. Sometimes it takes a few tries to actually reach the boat, try in 15 minutes. Never once did she get ahold of us. So when your pipes break, and nobody has money to fix it (my mom can't afford to float the money) the water company turns off your water, until your pipes are fixed. That resulted in more pipes breaking, Needless to say my mom had to take our cat, dog, and 10 gallon fishtank to her house, since ours was freezing. It cost us over 6,000 dollars. I would never be able to take that risk again
But the cruise itself was a nice break from reality...for a little bit anyways!
