I was declined for the Mentor Program two days ago. I never got a response via email or inbox message, I just went to check it today and it said I was declined. Firstly, Im bummed because I wasn't notified otherwise, I have been waiting anxiously lol.

Secondly, Im wondering why I was declined? I don't know who to contact about that?? What are some of the reasons that someone might be declined for this? I have a pretty high rank, Im active within the community (ridiculously so lol) and I am an Advanced reviewer with almost my 100th review posted. Just kind of curious as to how I dropped the ball on this one lol. Any thoughts?

I guess the reason why I am asking this, is because I would really like to become a mentor and help others. I want to know what I would have to do, complete or achieve in order to have this mentor status.

I hope you find the answers to your question. When did you apply for the mentor program? Were you at a lower rank and lower amount of reviews written at the time you requested it? How long have you been here? Maybe those have something to do with it. Maybe they have too many mentors? I don't know the answer just thinking of possibilities.

It looks like the person you're going to want to contact would be JR. He's your go-to person for most things on site. If he doesn't handle something directly, he can point you towards the right person.

I hope you get an answer, that is odd to me. I don't think time of being here has anything to do with it because you have been here longer than me and have way more reviews than I do. I'm puzzled as to why you were declines .

I don't know if this means anything to you or not but I was declined the first time I applied to be a mentor. I believe the reason I received was that I did not know enough about the site and how all of the programs worked and that just having a lot of outstanding reviews wasn't reason enough. But, yeah I'd email JR if you're genuinely concerned.

Thanks for the input everyone! I'll contact JR about this. I seen that I was declined and I was pretty dumbfounded lol. Im pretty active on the site and Have been through the mentor/student program. I have tons of reviews, but I have to admit that some of the programs are still a mystery to me. I've been trying to look into more information about them, to become more knowledgeable with them. As far as the site navigation is concerned, I think I have been doing pretty good. I know where pretty much everything is, and how to do everything on it. I just don't know much about the programs I guess. Hopefully I can improve my knowledge with those and get approved

I just applied for it a week or two ago. My ranks are pretty high up there. I don't think its because of that though. I think its because of the lack of knowledge with the programs.
