Do you try to have an eye on world politics? (Yep, it heavily influences how the power games in your country are, and of course it always breaks down to the average, common people...)
I have trouble paying attention to politics. There's some issues I have a better grasp of than others, but in general it just comes off as all the same noise to me.
I'm a really busy person, and I'm only going to read the news if I can get a concise general picture of what's going on in the world in about 20 minutes per day. I use "The Daily Beast" since they have a handy cheat sheet. And I pay just as much attention to world news as US or local news.

I don't pay attention to politics. I know I should but I stay out of it because lack of interest and understanding. It bores me but it's good that there are people who do enjoy it and do pay attention. I hear stuff from some friends or family, that's enough for me.
i'm not average so I'm rather tired of voting for the more logical and long term effective options when so many are lazy nitwits that want instant satisfaction. Wonderful people screwing over the future of their kids and the planet *appluase*

Honestly? I really only pay attention to the politics in countries I love the most and even then barely at all.
I used to watch the news but 85% of the stories are depressing so I stopped.
