Do you ever park far out in a lot, to avoid squeezing between other cars?

In short, are you willing to walk some to avoid door dents and cart crashes?

No - I drive a piece of junk, I don't even bother to lock it.

I walk. I dont care how cold or wet it is outside. I dont want a door ding or scratch in my car from someone who could care less to use some caution when getting in or out of their car. My car is not that expensive. I just like to take care of it.

I don't mind walking at all. Doesn't bother me one bit unless I'm extremely cold. I never park in between cars. I normally go for the middle of the lot, where cars are more spread out. I've never complained about walking distance. I'm just not the kind of person that'll spend 5 minutes driving aroud looking for a close spot, or waiting for someone to pull out when in those 5 minutes I could've already been out and inside the place.

I usually don't mind walking, but it depends on how hard it's raining!

I don't because I'm pretty lazy and usually have my son with me. I don't like walking a lot in car lots with him. I'm more concerned about something happening to him than my car.

My husband always parks far out because he has a nice car and doesn't want dents in it. Plus he usually doesn't have our son with him when he goes to stores.

Yes, but it's because I'm not very good at parking, not because I'm worried about getting a small dent in it.

I usually have at least one of the kids with me, so I park where there aren't a lot of cars, and close to one of the cart drop off thingies. That way I can get my son out, put him in a cart and then push the cart into the store. And when I'm done...I reverse the process!

I just bought a new car last saturday and this past week I have parked in the farthest spot away from everyone else. It's an expansive car that I intend on keeping for a long time so I want to keep it looking nice. Plus I could use the extra walk.

I do but not to avoid dents, I just don't want to search around for a parking spot and the end is usually free.

sometimes it is faster to park in the first place you find and walk than to drive all over looking

I'm the asshole that will squeeze in between two cars if they parked stupidly. I'll squish my way out of my car, which most people can't. If you're going to park like an idiot, I'm going to make it a pain in the ass to get into your car. Then I'll take down their license plate number before I leave, just in case I come back and there's a nice scratch or dent in my car.

I park far out sometimes just to avoid spending 15-20 minutes looking for that "perfect" close parking spot. It has nothing to do with not wanting my car scratched - this past fall it was cosmetically damaged in a storm and was totaled. Another few scratches won't hurt it, but saving time by not circling with those other "parking lot sharks" and walking is ok in my book!

Yeah. I drive a huge van and I'm bad at parking, so I usually park a space away from any other car if I can help it.

I usually just park in the first spot I see because I have perfectly functional legs and looking for a close spot is a hassle/waste of time.

Mainly to avoid backing into someone else also backing out - it happened only once, but now I prefer to park out in the middle of nowhere.

Although someone still managed a hit-and-run a month after that when I parked the car by itself ... -_-
