Rent is great, Avenue Q, Sweeney Todd (the original broadway version!), so many other great ones.

Les Miserables was pretty awesome, though I have a softspot for Mary Poppins... also, Hapiness of the Katakuris (it's in Japanese but is great in an insane way)

We love movie musicals,but actually enjoy theater musicals more. Phantom, Le Mis, Rent, Spamalot, all great.
