Do you or have you used weight loss supplements and/or fitness supplements?

Contributor: K101 K101
I wanted to know if any of you guys have ever used weight loss supplements ie. drinks, pill form, etc. Have you ever used fitness supplements such as protein bars, drinks, creatine or the like? Would you share your experience with the types of products you've used with me?

I don't take weight loss supplements and can't use many energy supplements, but have in the past. I can't take many fitness or weight loss products due to yucky stomach issues.

In the past, for weight loss, I've used:
Slimple (pill form).

Plegine (prescription form) only a few times and didn't care for them.

SlimQuick. You know the stuff that comes on commercials and says "the way women lose weight" Cute, but I did NOT have good results with that.

And back when it was still legal to sell, ephedrine and the regular stacker, yellow jackets and stuff. I don't care for those, but I used to like them.

Those are a few I've used. I didn't take slimple long, but it sure worked! I couldn't even think about food when I took those.

For fitness I've used:
Creatine
protein bars, shakes, etc.
And Celsius is what I'm currently stuck on. I'm working on trying the powder drinks, but have only been using the regular can drinks and the little shots. I'm actually liking those!

Has anyone else tried any of these types of things? I'd love to know what you've tried and how the experience was. Are there others who tend to get sick or have yucky side effects like I do? What works for you?

Well, silly me! I kinda left out the option of "I used these products and DID like them" Lol. Sorry about that guys.

If there's not one that fits your vote, just use the other option.
I hope you'll share with me what products you use or have used and what you liked and didn't like.

I actually like Slim Fast as something to put in my stomach when I'm on the go or don't really feel like eating. When I was younger and the doctors were trying to make me gain weight, I was drinking Slim Fast and Ensure with my meals.

Otherwise, I've never used a supplement with the intention of losing weight. I've never stuck to a diet and I try to just stick with eating what I feel I need. So far so good lol.

I am an energy drink fiend, so I frequently down them. Actually, I meant to say "other" because I am currently on a medication (prescription) which is commonly used for weight loss but I actually take it because I have ADHD. I'm currently on Adderall and had no clue that it would make me feel like I'm not hungry most of the time.

I do drink things like Slim Fast and Boost because they taste good and there are days where, between stomach issues and my Adderall, I don't feel like eating at all.

I occasionally use energy shots when I am really tired at work. I used to drink Slim Fast, but I stopped. The drinks don't really fill me up enough to get me through from meal to meal, so I end up eating more anyway. I tried some weight loss pill, which just upset my stomach a lot and gave me really bad heart burn, so I stopped taking it for the most part. I do use it occasionally for extra energy, since it's packed with caffeine. I sometimes eat protein bars or make protein shakes, depending on my mood. Chocolate whey protein powder, skim milk, and a banana thrown in the blender together make an awesome shake.

I drink Slim Fast here and there but not on a consistant basis..I used to drink it years ago, but it never filled me up. Now since I have lost weight (from exercising and eating better) they do fill me up. I don't follow the 2 shakes a day/1 meal a day thing..I do it for breakfasts here and there.

I also tried Alli in the past and that did not work for me at all. I felt like I was living in fear of going over the fat grams..if you did, you risked getting horrible side effects that I shall not mention haha. If I wanted a cheat day I wouldn't be able to have one with that med in my system so I stopped it and went a different route.

I drink a revival soy protein shake with creatine in it before I work out and have a sports drink afterward.

On days when I don't work out, I drink a soy protein shake without adding creatine.

I used to take diet pills when I was in high school. I don't really like to take supplements like that because they remind me of how sick I was with my eating disorder during that time. When I was 16 or so I actually got a fake ID so I could buy diet pills because you have to be 18 to buy them. They made me jittery, but I don't think I always followed the correct dosing. I did lose a lot of weight, but I honestly don't know whether or not the pills worked or not because I was doing a lot of dieting and exercising too.

Adderall! LOL. I have had them before and I always knew them to be prescribed for ADHD like you said, but recently have heard people talking about taking them for weight loss. When I was on them they made me not want to eat as much, but I didn't lose weight from them. My cousin took them a while back for weight loss and lost a ton! I like slimfast too, but I drink Ensure sometimes when I haven't eaten or because the strawberry is so good! lOL.

we have never tried any. I think they are a bad idea. I know that most people get frustrated when they do not lose the weight fast enough. But you need to remember that you did not gain the weight over night. It takes time to lose. Time and work. I think that the weight lose pills are very unhealthy.

I've never used any energy or weight loss supplements. I prefer exercising regularly and go easy on snacks to stay in shape. If I don't stick to my exercise routine, I'll feel achy and weak almost instantly.

I've had my fair share of protein bars and energy drinks. Some of the protein bars I've eaten taste kind of gross but they're super convenient after a workout. I've become extremely wary about energy drinks and diet pills. I'm trying to avoid them since I have no idea what sort of long term affects they would have.

I won't take any diet pills because I know the effect isn't permanent. I have tried protein shakes and I like them as a good post workout boost.
