Yes, a Hyundai Elantra -- I like how smooth it drives! I'm short, so only cars for me. There aren't many vehicles I can see out of! Lol.

Several of them. Some running, some not. I have a gorgeous 67 Fiat spider convertable in the driveway that needs a new head gasket.
Cool car - is it in red? My ex used to have one (not convertible though).

Yes I have one, I wouldn't be able to get to work otherwise.

Own one that doesn't work (thank you, Montana, for not having Lemon Laws), so having to drive a family member's. No freedom with borrowing - I can't have one fecking drink when I go out because she forbids me from having any "mind altering substances" while driving her car. I respect it, but it's a pain.

I want to live in a place that would be vehicle optional - like Boston or something. Someplace walkable with a decent public transportation system. This dependency on a car where I currently live is bs.

Only a few places in the USA...mostly cities, where you can live without one.

Does my SUBMERSIBLE aqua car count? Oh wait...I was dreaming again. I just cannot seem to put away that quarter million needed to buy one, much as I want to.

EVERYONE in China is now buying one. Trading bikes and motorbikes for cars. They are discovering it equals "mobility freedom" too.

We always wanted a big Mercedes, till we could easily afford one. THEN we decided we were VERY happy with the Hondas and Toyota's we were driving. WE park in a lot full of Porche's, Mercedes, and even a Rolls or two...and we LAUGH about the fact that while WE drive our Honda or Toyota, the folks driving those other cars WORK FOR US!!!! We have nothing to prove to ANYONE by driving an overpriced car. We will drive what we ENJOY driving (and what we feel is SAFE...my number 1 issue).

I must be too sleepy when I came across this thread early this morning - it was a Alfa Romeo Spider hardtop, not a Fiat.

Truck and an SUV, the thought of not having a car or truck is scary for us. Not only is it mandatory for us living in the country they also provide a tremendous amount of freedom. Plus, I just plain like to drive.

We have a car. We need to, or we'd never get anywhere in a decent amount of time here. Taking the bus anywhere in this town seems to eat up your whole day!
