Be honest! I'll admit I usually throw away things I'm not supposed to inside of the recycling.

It's mandatory in my state. They come pick it up once a week just like the garbage.

I recycle as much as possible. I probably wasted a lot of water just to rinse clean the plastic bottles, glass jars and beverage boxes for recycling.

In our house we save up recyclables in huge trash bins on the outside patio and turn them in once they're full to the top.

I always do! Then again I live in Oregon where we recycle like crazy all the time!

Hope you're not in Portland where they're doing that crazy compost recycling! I think that's recycling gone extreme, can't imagine the stench during the summer months!

Well not always...but almost always. I live in the sticks so it's difficult to find recycling centers within an hour drive, but I do it as often as possible.

I don't recycle because the closest center is like 30 miles away, and you have to pay extra for the bins at your house here.

I recycle as much as I can ever since they provided us with separate recycling bins; it doesn't take two seconds to put the materials in the right containers. I feel good about doing it, but frankly I wouldn't care enough to do it if that system wasn't in place, and I actually had to take my refuse to a recycling centre.

Anything recyclable in my home is thrown in the bin, when I'm in public it is difficult to recycle.

95% of the time I try to recycle. Unfortunately the 5% is when I am somewhere where it I am not able to recycle the garbage.

This is the same in our area, so we recycle when we can, but that is usually in public.

we sort as we go so its not that hard. about 90% of our trash is recyclable so it saves us money anyways because we don't have extra trash bags!

Each garbage bag you put out in our town costs $1, which is not a huge amount but I'd rather spend my money on anything other than garbage bags. Recycling is easy (no need for sorting) and they just pick it up at the same time in a provided bin. So yeah, I do a fair bit of recycling.
