Thrift or second hand stores are so much fun. "One man's junk is another's treasure."

I used to go to this thrift store often, it was in a rich neighborhood with a lot of nice donations. I was able to get a brand new, silk, kimono style top for 5 dollars.
What they started doing recently is that they took the high end stuff out, and put them into a special room, and raised the price on those product So I stopped going.

There's a nice thrift store near where I live that I get all my dress shirts from. I got quiet a few nice dress shirts for 2 bucks a piece.

I love thrift stores. As a college student, I do get most of my stuff at thrift stores. I'm still picky when shopping though. If it's dirty/stained/or broken, I will not buy it. Only clean, quality items for me please.

I have found great scrubs there. When hubby was losing weight really fast after surgery, he found pants, shirts, and shorts there for a great price.

I totally do! When I was a kid growing up without much money, we would always shop there so for a while I kind of resented Goodwill and other thrift shops, but then I got into fashion and realized that would be the cheapest way for me to experiment with different clothes. Now I'm hooked and I shop there for almost everything, barring underwear and certain appliances that I wanted to buy new. Otherwise I totally adore Goodwill, though I've noticed that the prices at the one closest to me have gone up or at least have become more homogeneous - $4 for a tiny thin (but cute) sweater, $4 for a pair of jeans, it seems off balance for some reason.

I love Goodwill! Thrift stores/charity shops are a must for my budget. Even if I did have money, I'd probably shop there anyway.

Occasionally, but it's been such a long time since I've been inside of one. I did end up getting a LOT of baby clothes from there with both of my kids, which is great considering that they out-grow them so quickly and I hate seeing a ton of money spent on newer, more expensive clothes.

I also donate clothes (both mine and my kids') all the time.

I don't shop at Goodwill. Bed bugs have been found in several of their stores, and that's a risk I'm not willing to take.

Yes I shop at Goodwill and stores like it. A few years ago I found a brand new dress in my size and favorite color from Davids Bridal with the tags still on it. They had 2 same style but different sizes so I don't know if a wedding didn't happen and they were bridesmaid dresses or what, but I was looking for a dress that I could wear to my brother-in-laws wedding and my husbands honors banquet for college so it was perfect for me.

Right before school started, the Baptist church in my small town held a day of caring where people had donated items (clothes, shoes, purses, trinkets, books etc.) and it was free for one and all regardless of religious beliefs. I came out of there with shoes, clothes, coats, winter gloves, and pj's for my kids. A purse, a few books, and some clothes for me. A couple shirts for my husband so I was so thankful for the community to offer something like this.

I love thrifty shopping. Not too long ago, I found a brand new with tags pair of pants that fit perfectly. This has only happened once though. I see it as a treasure hunt. I don't normally shop the Goodwill for clothes (usually only kids clothes) so I go in looking for a special something kind of kinick knack or other useless shit. They almost always have a great book section and at those prices, give those babies a home!!
