Do you turn off your computer when it is storming out?

Contributor: Bignuf Bignuf
There is a huge lightning storm going on right now. I have weather.com on one screen and EF on the other. However, I don't worry, since my computer is run through a UPS device with a very potent surge suppressor.

Do you keep "computing" when there is a storm going on?

If I'm on a desktop I switch to a laptop, and that's it. If I'm on an unplugged laptop, yeah.

Nope. Not unless flashes from the lightning are filling up the living room and kitchen area where the major appliances are or the thunder is literally above us, other than that, we dont' even lose power normally.
