It seems to me that several members of this community are using actual pictures of themselves as their avatar. I'm just curious as to how many are, why they are choosing to do so, while others are choosing not to do so.

Mine is an icon, but it's also a picture I took myself. However, I was not the one who botched the Western Union sign.... credit for that goes to some unknown party person.

Mine is my pet rooster Terry. I am not against using my picture for an avatar just have no desire to do so. If a person wants to see my face they can watch one of my videos.
Plus if I did use my real face I would have to give "that look" and Vaccinium would end up leaving his wife.

I just use one of the ones Eden provides. I don`t really care to put up a picture of myself unless it would be for like a dating site. Otherwise, no one needs to know what I look like.

I found mine online during an image search. I thought it was cute, and kind of shows all the different moods on any given day. (Plus I LOVE marshmallows!!) I wouldn't want to use a sexy picture of myself, as I save that for my man.
