I didn't know there were so many kinds, either! I had to google hats to find all these names! I recognized them when I saw them, I just didn't know the proper names for them until I researched it. Never let it be said I don't put effort into my topics, even the dumb ones!

I have two "kitty ear" hats that I will wear either when it is too cold outside - or when my hair is a wreck and I don't want to put it clips. lol.

I seldom wear a hat. If I'm having a bad hair day, and/or if it's pouring rain, I'll wear a baseball cap.

Hats don't look good on me, but when I rarely wear them its a baseball cap.

I have a "hat face", so I can get away with wearing hats - which I do. My favorite is a pink newsboys cap I picked up in Boston back in 2006. I also own three flatcaps, four Tyroleans, two sun hats, a black cocktail hat, two cloches, an angora beret, a mad bomber hat, a fleece bucket hat, and my Gryffindor House knock-off beanie/tuque that I found at a dollar store. I also have an assortment of teeny top-hats for costuming. There's also a small collection of ladies' church hats that need to be reshaped.

Most of my hats are in storage in another state, though.:-/

Wow, what a collection! I hope you are able to get them back where you live at some point. I'm impressed you can specifically remember all the ones you have!

My ex-husband used to call me "Nora" (Nora Charles from The Thin Man) because I loved my hats as much as the character loved hers.

I miss my hats.
