Does cussing offend you, are you neutral towards it, or do you cuss?

I don't think words themselves are bad, but the way someone uses them can be bad if they're saying them to hurt someone's feelings or trying to be vulgar. I swear pretty frequently, but I don't like to swear at people, that's just fucking rude.

I do enjoy a bit of swearing at times, but not around children or older people. "Fuck" is such a great word that feels good to say sometimes.

I swear, and I don't mind others swearing. It bothers me when people cuss too much though. It also sort of bothers me when my coworkers cuss too loudly near customers. There's a time and place for that.

As a rule, I swear very little except when I'm quoting or am very upset. When every other word out of your mouth is a swear or crude word, it makes you sound uneducated or at the very least unprofessional, IMHO. However, even though I don't particularly care what others do, it does bother me when I see a group of people sitting two feet from small children, loudly yelling f-this and f-that. Seriously? Manners.

I do enjoy swearing a little to much. But I never swear in front of my parents and in front of strangers.

I don't swear in front of children or at work, but they've slipped out a few times. Even when I do swear, I don't make it every other word. Also, about the regional thing: There's a reason Texas is also called "The 'fuck you' state"

I do it and it doesn't really offend me but I try to be careful who I curse around.

Cussing doesn't really offend me unless it is very excessive, and for lack of a better word, unnecessary. That might sound crazy to some, but I think cuss words can have a place, and when used in a legitimate way, they don't bother me. If someone is just cussing like crazy for the hell of it then I get annoyed. I cuss occasionally, only when I feel like they are a good way to convey what I'm feeling.

To each is own.

I used to cuss frequently but recently my family has been trying to cut it down a bit.

I cuss way too much -- but I'm okay with that.

I do try not to do it in public where it may be found offensive, though.

My family didn't cuss when I was growing up but I'm do now. Not constantly, but when occasion calls for it. Excessive foul language doesn't bother me though, while some of my family members complain about it ruining movies, music, etc. When around children I do try not to, and will use my mom's favorite cuss substitute "tiddly-winks!" or at least cut myself off before I reach the fuck in "motherfucker!"
