It matters to me, especially with realistic toys.
But even aside from that, I'm not into super girly colors. I mean if it seems like it is a good toy, I won't let it get in the way, but I like to have electric and bold colors to choose from.

it matters for appeal, but not for function. if there is a gray toy and a lime green toy of the same model, i will pick the green. if one is gray and one green, and there are mild differences, i will still pick the green. blah, blah.

I like a variety of colors so I tend to pick the most unusual color available. That way I go beyond the pinks and purples.

Color choice did matter for me, and then I got my orange and batty Leo. Now I'm excited about interesting colors. Before I was kind of turned off by the outrageous, but now I'm excited about them. I agree with the others about being adverse to pink. I like some things in pink, but not all. If there is another option in stock, I'll chose it. If there isn't, and I really want the toy, it isn't going to stop me.
