How do you keep warm when going out ? Furs? Parka's ? Or do you stay indoors with a nice fireplace ?

Heavy coat and gloves when we go out. Some people do hats and scarves. I try to stay in as much as possible. Had a high of 10 today. By the end of winter we're so used to it that we run around in hoodies...LOL

High of 10??? Oh no no no no. That just would not do. We had our first snow fall in Indiana today but it was around 33. Still, not a fan of the temp or the snow, but at least it wasn't 10 I am too fair weathered for that lol. I still haven't figured out why I'm not living beachside yet...

I'm ok with cold and I can't stand when it's hot out. I just really don't like to shovel snow. Beaches are overrated.

Leaves are turning color this time of year and dropping. Across the street from us are rows of tall gigantic trees with tons of leaves. And of course they blow over to our side. Lol, keeps me busy.

I agree I prefer cold to hot as I can always add more layers and have clothes so I stay comfy down into negative temps now. I went to grad school in Boulder, CO and loved that even if it did snow it was gone the next day usually (would basically sublimate away too).

Now that I live in the Sacramento valley it's too hot for me for ~1/3 year to want to be outside much and never gets cold enough for me to need long pants/jackets.

Same with us. All the cold weather coats, long sleeves, sweaters brought up from colder BA are barely used. Shorts, tees, etc are the norm. And loose or barely there undies.

I like to bike in the mornings. Less traffic and before it gets too warm. Coffee and light breakfast first, watch TBerg give the weather, AAsistio the local news and GMA/ABC National News. Then bike for 45- 60 mins. Listen to the birds singing and people walking their dogs.

Then on to EF to see what's going on. Bummer, then there's work too.

Weather widget lied... was showing ~86 on my bike computer when I just biked to the store. Oh well, still good to get out and now have ingredients for dinner tonight or tomorrow.

I go out in the mornings before it hits 80 degrees. Bring some ice cold water with me. Getting fresh air and being outdoors is a must for me.

I really should opt for the getting up early enough to beat the heat... but hard to shift my sleep schedule that early.

I have a number of hydration systems like that, they're great for backpacking. Can keep hydrating as you walk vs having to stop and get out a bottle. I have a couple of insulated bike bottles and can use them while pedaling without pausing. I used to go ~30 miles in a trip without taking my feet off the pedals, mind you occasionally coasting on downhills was the easiest times to drink water. No easy hills to get to here though So haven't done as much biking since I moved here for work.

Stay safe/dry!! I used to deal with lots of wind/rain when the hurricanes hit when I lived on the east coast of the US. Not fun.

Here in the Sacramento Area of Calif we have had some strange weather.
Few weeks ago I was high 90's. Last week dropped to low/mid 80's. This weekend suppose to be high 90 and maybe hit 100.

Anybody care to share what's going on in their neck of the woods ?
Only few days of summer left
Might be our last weekend to take a dip in the pool.
