anything under 6 floors I take the stairs. I don't like small tight spaces. I also am afraid of elevators.

Nice question! That's a tough one kind of. I like both, but I think I take the stairs more often than elevator. The last few times I was on an elevator it made me so dizzy for a few minutes afterwards. Unless I'm exhausted, I don't mind stairs at all.

Elevator for me, I have enough stairs at home.

I have a phobia riding hospital elevators, worried the elevators might carry me down to the basement levels where bodies are usually kept; I've spent way too much time in the hospital to keep my grandpa company when I was a kid.

Stairs for two reasons. One is that I hate elevators. The other is that it's my little way of burning calories during the day.

Stairs, usually. Can move as fast as I want and don't have to share space with other people.

I used to work on the third floor of a building that had 2 flights of stairs between each floor. I almost always took the stairs. I only took the elevator when I was with someone that demanded to.

Stairs, it add a little exercise/activity to the day. Plus I got in the habit at the last place I worked; the elevator there was so unreliable that even if you had something large that required the use of the elevator most people would put it on the elevator, then take the stairs and meet it at their final destination.

When ever possible I take the stairs. We've been on several cruises. These ships are 14 stories high - I never take the elevator, it helps work off the over indulgence of food and drink!
