Elevator or stairs?

Contributor: HannahPanda HannahPanda
There are tons of better reasons to take the stairs, but I voted elevator just because I like machinery and the fancy technology of today. Elevators malfunction and get stuck all the time, and the stairs are great exercise anyway. I really should probably take the stairs more often than I do.

I usually take the stairs unless it's over seven stories or so. I like getting the blood pumping!

When I've lived in a multi-story apartment buildings I've always chosen the top floor. So far the tallest was only nine story but that was indeed a nice one with a balcony on the west side of the building we saw some very nice sunsets. We usually took the elevator, but let me tell you, unexpectedly discovering the elevator out of commission with a large load of groceries in the lobby was not a happy experience... LOL
Happily that was a rather rare occurrence but I was a physically fit active duty soldier at the time, so it was not a problem.

Stairs for sure. Walking, especially up several flight of stairs, makes ones backside look amazing. And I'm all for that.

If I'm wearing high heels or clothing I don't want to get sweaty: elevator. If I have a lot of crap with me: elevator. Otherwise, unless it's a ridiculous number of stories: stairs.

I also walk up and down the escalators in malls.

I picked other becasue it depends, if it's an open space I pick stairs but if the stairs are in a closed in creepy area where just anyone could be hiding I'd rather take the escalator....
