Ever used a moneygram?

Has anyone ever used a money gram at walmart or CVS? Is it safe and easy to use? If I'm the one receiving money, how do I go about doing so?

I've never heard of that before. Is it like a cashier's check or a wire transfer?

I believe that is a wire transfer. I've received them in the past, but not through those stores. There is a fee, of course, but it is pretty easy, and should be safe too.

I have never sent one before but I have received 1 and it was pretty simple.

Nope. When my parents send me money they just deposit it direct into my account.

They are easy to use--you do need a driver's license or other ID...do NOT do this for internet purchases!!!!!!!!!

I've never needed to use the service. Also, I would agree with js250, do not use it for internet purchases.

I've never used them, but I did work retail. There are a lot of security measures in place.

I know people who have and it seems pretty easy & safe. I'd keep any receipt it comes with if you're the one buying it & usually there is a tear-off piece on the moneygram. Keep it! You can track it that way.
