I went through my facebook the other day and deleted about 90% of my facebook friends because I rralized a large chunk of them were people I either didn't know, or didn't care for.
Have you ever cleaned house on your FB friends list? How many people would you say you have on your list that you either don't know or don't really care for or talk to?

I know all the people on my FB list in some shape or form, we either met at a convention or I know the person outside of congoing shenanigans.

I have less than 30 people on my facebook. I never add anyone whose life I do not care about, and I leave my profile 100% open to the public. Keeps my "friends" in the manageable numbers, but lets whoever want to see my stuff.

Most everyone on my Facebook I went to school with or worked with. If I didn't do either they were either Military Wives when I was one or I met through mutual friends either way if I don't care for you then you won't be added. I have recently added about 2 people from here to my actual Facebook that I use for everything. I have a separate Facebook for Eden users to add me on if they wished.

I actually just did this the other day. There isn't anyone on my friends list that I don't actually know in RL. But there were alot of people that I just know from high school or even met in college that I don't talk to. If I don't talk to you, I deleted you. I like my stuff private

I need to do this. I have lots of people from work and high school that I didn't really talk to much to begin with and don't really talk to now. And then there are people I've added for various games that I don't know and will probably delete. Also, is it bad that I keep some aquaintences on my Facebook to make myself feel better about my life in comparison to theirs? I know so many girls who got married and had kids right out of high school while I don't want marriage or kids, have graduated from college, and while I haven't found a real job yet and have lots more school to go, at least I'm not bitching to Facebook at 3am because my husband is an asshole and the sick kids won't fall asleep. Or I haven't gone back to the same in-and-out of jail addict a million times over the past few years.

I add random people pretty often because most of the games require a certain number of friends to unlock expansions/upgrades, but I never really cleaned house on my list.
Probably should, but I don't know who's still active.
I also tend to have a policy of accepting any friend requests I get because I feel turning them down might be considered rude.

I had hundreds of "friends" on my facebook by the time I left university, then I realised that most of these people I'd only met a couple of times and had very little interest in, so I purged it down to under 30.
