If I were in need I would have no problem accepting them. Currently, I'll say we are struggling to make ends meet, but there are people out there who are having a much tougher time. Sounds like a wonderful thing for those truly in need.

I have no issue with that either. When you're in need, I think it's smart to be alert to opportunities the community provides like that one.

Absolutely, I have shopped at thrift stores and I have to tell you that if they too didn't get so expensive I would probably still.

No, but because I'm a germ-a-phobe and won't use used clothing, free or not.

Of course I would. I have no problem admitting when I need help. When I'm doing okay for myself, I also turn around and help others. I think programs like that are fantastic. In fact, I wish we had one of those around here...I haven't bought new jeans in 4 years...

I find that the thrift stores in my area aren't any cheaper than buying clothes at walmart or target. So if they are the same price as something in a store, I'd rather get something new.

Totally! Kids clothes are EXPENSIVE and they grow so darn fast, it's hard to keep up!

Yes, our son isn't even born yet and we already have clothes up to one year. My wife gets them off facebook groups that they have in our area.

I've been to thrift stores both to donate and to purchase, since I have the resources I don't mind paying for what I get.

I don't know what's shameful about getting free stuff. I mean, we're all involved with Eden, right? Most of us probably purchase most of our stuff with Eden Points, which is, you know...free.

Yes I would at some point in each and everyone's life they have needed some form of help and that is why those type of places do that type of thing. There is nothing to be ashamed of if you need a helping hand

I love free stuff and give things away as much as I partake in getting free things, Im all for trading and bartering rather than throwing things away or charging too much for them.

My family's kinda-sorta upper class-ish, but Goodwill... Damn, that's one of our favorites! Y'never know what you'll find. I've gotten some of my favorite clothing items there, plus my favorite art book, some 90s anime, stuff for my Egyptian collection... Love love LOVE thrift stores!

I'm not sure how I feel about this. On the one hand, I'm all about earning points here on EF, and using coupons to their best advantage at the grocery store, and saving pennies everywhere I can. On the other hand, I feel bad even looking around at Goodwill or the Salvation Army store, because there's a voice in the back of my head telling me that if I can even remotely afford something new I shouldn't be taking the opportunity away from someone else who needs it more.

Long story short, I wouldn't feel ashamed, but I'd probably feel super guilty about it.

If I needed to I would. But I would at least make a donation of what ever I could afford even if it were free.
