Beer. Not the insipid, piss-colored American macrobrews, but a deep, rich, balanced microbrew.
If I had to choose a mixed drink (I don't drink them often), it would be a caipirinha.

I used to be a Southern Comfort and absolutely nothing else girl but I just got burnt out on it. On the rare occasions I do drink now it's Maker's Mark.

A- I love beer. Especially wheat beers like Blue Moon or 312 (I happily live close enough to Chicago to get me some of this awesomeness) I also love things like (as above) the Fireside Nut Brown, or amber ales, etc.
I also love gin. There's a brand called New Amsterdam that sells for a very reasonable price. I love it mixed with Pom-Cran juice and a splash of club soda or 7Up.... And the Werther's Buzz I created with 360 Double Chocolate Vodka, Butterscotch Schnapps, and Coke.... and UV Blue with Lemonade and Sprite.... YUMMO

Alcoholic: A Cape Cod or a good margarita- not from a mix. Just good tequila, bar sour and grand marnier on the rocks. I also like a good Stoli cosmo, I can't help it. (I was a bartender for quite a few years and I hate mixes and poorly made drinks.)
Beer: Good, dark, puts-hair-on-your-ches t, stand-up-and-be-a-man imported brew. Guinness Extra Stout is about as light as I go.
Non: Tea (either barely sweetened or unsweetened) Dr. Pepper, Steaz Raspberry or soda and lime

Have you tried Fraoch Heather Ale? It's one of the lightest beer I drink but it's got amazing body. You might have to buy it at a specialty beer house but I recommend seeking it out if you like medium bodied ales with a lot of character. This is the one I prefer.
