I know we have some passionate lovers of shoes if I can go by the ubiquitous requests for them on the suggest a product thread. Well, here's your chance to share with us your favorite pair, ever & even tell us about it. And, no, I don't care if it's just a ratty ole pair of sneakers, whatever is your most favorite of all types of shoes. I would even love to see a picture, if you're so inclined!

I don't have a photo..but they are some hiking shoes, that fit like slippers...no laces, but instead have like a bungee cord, so they slip on and don't need to be tied. Very comfy. I wore them out and they got holes in them...I recently found a similar pair that is better looking

I'm definitely a shoe girl, and though I have a lot of shoes, my favorites - despite the fact that I don't wear them the most often - are definitely all heels. A comfortable, sexy pair of shoes that can add 5 inches to my height? I think so.

My absolute favorite that I own is the above pair of Steve Maddens bought for me by a guy with a foot fetish who I met whist out shopping (browsing, really - I can't even afford to shop at Steve Madden right now). They're easy to walk in, comfortable enough to wear for hours and do wonders for my butt. Aside from that, they're one of the few things I can wear that mean that I don't have to stand on tip toes when kissing my partner - I have a size 5.5-6 foot, so anything with a spread of more than 4.5 inches begins to get a little ridiculous, but these give me about a 6 inch boost in height because of the platform. On top of that, I /hate/ feet, so every time I see them, I get reminded that my feet are sexy enough to have caused a foot fetishist to have dropped $180 on me out of nowhere. It's really a win-win-win-win sort of situation.

As for shoes that I don't own, I could never pick a favorite. It was hard even picking a favorite out of the ones that I /do/ own. There are a ton of gorgeous and original shoes out there, and since I haven't tried all of them on to know whether they're comfy or not (sky high heels are an absolute yes in my book, but only if I could see myself wearing them for 8 hours a day), I wouldn't be able to narrow it down based only on aesthetics.

Reebok Classic Nylon in black/white! I've seriously had four or five pairs of these throughout my life. I love these shoes; call me a creature of habit, but they are just so comfy and nice-looking and versatile. They're really great shoes for walking to/from college and around town. I barely have an arch to my feet, so these sneakers are very comfortable. Other shoes assume you've got a big/average arch, and ironically their "arch support" systems hurt my feet! I don't think I'll ever get tired of these shoes.

I get a lot of pain from the arch support in shoes as well, and my high-arched mother doesn't believe me when I say that shoes with no or low arches are more comfortable! I recently had custom made orthotics done through my chiropractor after beginning a job where I was on my feet all day, and they're light years more comfortable than the inserts that I had to wear as a kid to try and "cure" my low arches. I liked my chiropractor much better than my physiotherapist, though I had to stop seeing her (and my massage therapist - I'm a bit of a wreck) when my parents insurance stopped covering me. Hopefully I'll be going back to school soon and can once again get my prescriptions covered. =)

How did I know this discussion would lure you? Your shoes are really sexy & I didn't know about them being a gift like that, what a story to tell the grandkids when you are old, (I know, just a saying, not assuming you would get married, etc).

I'm happy to see people jumped right in & it's not all about high heels, yeah! So, come on, show us your crusty old Birkenstocks! Just kidding, unless they really are your favorite shoes ever.

Three Mary-Jane straps in an almost-Oxford style. These are my highest heels, and I am in love with them as the pin-up shoes I picked up at the thrift store. They are just comfortable enough. As you can see, they are brilliant with a pair of backseamed stockings (and a riding crop).

That is one sexy picture! Love the Cuban heel & back seam, plus the crop is a perfect touch! Nice, shapely calves, too! These shoes are sexy in a different way than the trampy look that I see everywhere. Thanks for posting the picture & info!

Those are so gorgeous! I won this pair

in a competition, and they're my absolute favorite sexy librarian shoes ever. I used to love wearing them to work there and always thought that it was such a shame that I worked in the kids department, because with a skirt, they'd have been super fun to wear when tidying shelves and such.

Yours have such a classy, retro feel to them, especially with the color scheme!

I'd think you in these, with the perfect skirt, tidying shelves, would cause a riot, or a few shocked patrons! I like these, too, I very much like the prim & proper-but-not, look!

Drool! Yours are beautiful! You need backseamed stockings, too, just to complete the look!

I coudn't find an image of just the shoes, so here's an image of me wearing the shoes. I LOVE two tone, especially black and white.

I just went to order a second pair of the cuban heels off of here, but they went out of stock before I could get them! I'm notoriously hard on stockings, so I know that I'm going to do damage to the pair that I have before long, and I just adore the sexy, pin-up look. Because of the fact that they can be worn so casually, they're so much sexier to me than the blatant stripper heel (which isn't to say that I don't have a few of those too, I just wouldn't wear them to work).

Mrs. Hellzapoppin, can you clone everything in your wardrobe for me in my size? Sometimes I get the feeling that you are the most fabulous person in the world, and I would be perfectly content to mooch off of your sense of style.

I am delighted that you couldn't find a photo of just the shoes, that picture is so beautiful! If I didn't know better, I'd guess it was from the pinup era. The shoes are so pretty & make your feet look so dainty!

I LOVE flip flops! I have orthopedic ones, called Orthaheel & they are so great, (but damed expensive for me), I wear them in the house instead of slippers & then I have my outdoor ones! Who knew so many people are overpronated? They have gotten rid of all my foot, knee & lower back pain! Okay, I sound like an add, sorry, but I do love them!

My favorite shoes are my Reef sandals. I buy a new pair every year. They're so comfy, and plain black. My husband tried them on last night, and he was blown away by how comfy they are. (I wear a size 11w in women's, so I buy men's sandals.)

It's all about the comfort for me! I like a woman who knows her own mind!

Sometimes I'm jealous that I can't wear men's shoes because my feet are too small - I find myself drawn to a lot of the skater brands, but they usually don't go smaller than a men's five and I'd still be swimming in that. That being said, It'd probably be just as tricky for me to shop for shoes in a size ten or eleven as a size five or six, so that would be a pain.

These shoes have gotten me tons of compliments when I wear them to my pole classes and for photos. They're like Barbie shoes for grown ups! I LOVE pink chrome so hard.
