I don't get flavored lubes much. As far as I've heard most of them taste pretty bad, and for oral why does lube help? (I'd love to be corrected on this if I'm missing something)
What I think might work well for flavor would be some of the sugar-free flavoring syrups that you can get.

I use a tingly mint flavored one on my boyfriend sometimes, though only because he likes the tingling sensation.

I've never encountered a flavored lube that wasn't completely disgusting.

Most of them do taste pretty funky but O'My made really good ones (anybody else wish they were still around??) and Sliquid Swirl has some good flavors, though I've not tried them all.
Scott, to answer your question- from my experience they help with my saliva production which means I'm able to give better head. The sugar free syrups you're talking about is the stuff for alcohol, coffee and tea, right? Those syrups tend to have a really strong flavor so they can stand up to the strength of their mixer whereas most flavored lubes that I use are a little lighter in flavor. They also don't have the food coloring that the syrups do which I would worry about staining things. Of course that's just with what we have in my area so depending upon what's available in yours ymmv.

My wife would very enthusiastically give me a Pina Colada flavored blow job/hand job combo....so yes, I wish they were still around!

I agree that it helps with saliva production. Things seem to get a lot slipperier and better for him when we use lube. I don't use it to cover up the taste of him, and I actually prefer the natural taste of him and whatnot, but it's more important to me that he feels as good as possible. It also lasts longer than saliva should I decide to switch it up and use my hands for a while.

I am very particular about which flavor of lube, I do find most flavored lubricants sticky and not toy/intercourse friendly, and I do actually think that flavored condoms are better, especially Durex. Lastly I do agree that oral sex doesn't really need lube. Then again, oral can gross out some people if there's no lube because they might not think it tastes too good.
