Hey everyone,

Who doesn't love an open conversation where anything goes? I thought it would be neat if we could try something like this on the forum (yes, it will be heavily moderated).

So what does this mean exactly? It means you can post a comment on pretty much anything you want - from an interesting article you read, something fun/weird that happened to you, or whatever your little heart desires.

There's only one requirement: post an open-ended question that will engage others in the topic you've chosen to post! Sounds like a fun Friday to me!

I'll go first.

Today, is my birthday (yay 32!) and it's raining and 64 degrees outside. It never, ever fails that it rains on my birthday and has every year since I can remember, even if it is only for a brief second or two. It's somewhat depressing but at the same time extremely fitting given my name.

What's something that seems to always happen on or around your birthday that you otherwise wouldn't pay attention to had it not been your special day?

Happy birthday!

I'm lucky in that I almost always had my birthday off since it fell on spring break. Unfortunately, I almost always tend to have a cold on my birthday. I chalk it up to the weather changing.

I have had a migraine on my birthday more often than not and in the last 13 yrs, every time. Then, by the time I am over it and open the shades, or get out of my house, I find all the leaves have changed and I missed the peak season! Well, aren't I just a ball of sunshine , sorry!

Happy Birthday! Ok, my birthday falls mid November and I can remember a couple times the very first snow flurries of the year on that day.
An old family tradition of mine was to make a cup of hot chocolate during the first snowfall. Anyone else have a "snow ritual?"

Happy birthday!

I'd be flattered if it always rained on mine - that would mean that the universe is celebrating along with me. How else would nature make fireworks?

I'm never home on my birthday (as in, in the correct city). Often its planned, like vacations and such, but sometimes it just happens. This time, a family emergency called me away. At this point, I'm considering simply planning trips from now on to ensure that positive reasons make me leave.
