Free stuff websites?

I'm not paying for it. I'm paying taxes. You know the government doesn't want you to get away with anything free. Even if you get free stuff from blogging you are technically to report it on your income tax.

But the way I look at it, if someone doesn't want to pay income taxes on $1,000 or whatever, maybe they will turn it down and I'll get it. I was in a 15% tax bracket last year and I'm more than willing to pay $150 in taxes to have $850 to pay bills or whatever else needs done.

It's not the company's rules, it's the U.S. government wanting taxes.

I guess the same would be said "Why work when you have to pay for it by paying taxes". To me, winning a prize is extra money, and I'm more than willing to pay taxes to have extra cash in my pocket!

I have no problems clicking any links on EF, including those posted in this thread - you may wish to check and make sure that your browser is up to date if you're having trouble with them. I did see that you mentioned that you weren't able to click Wicked Wahine's link, though, and I included the URL with a space in it in the post that you quoted.

A little off-topic, but I just thought I'd share. I don't know if you heard of Oprah's 250 car giveaway, but it made me absolutely refuse to ever take stock in anything that woman says or does. The cars were donated to her by the company, but she distributed them as prizes and not as gifts, which meant that each of the winners would have to pay $7000 in taxes on their car in order to keep it. It disgusts me that she gets all of this hype about her great "giveaways," because she could easily cover the necessary taxes through her show, but instead forces them on "lucky" audience members. The act of receiving something from Oprah can actually put you into a higher tax bracket as well, whether you want it to or not.

I believe that the limit of untaxable gift income is only about $10,000 so if the car is worth more than that it has to be claimed.

Personally, I'd be THRILLED to pay $7,000 taxes on a nice new car. Oprah can give me one any day!

Zombirella,

They have several different sweepstakes where the prize is always bonus points added to your account, not any other type of prize. Examples of the points rewarded are 15,000 or 50,000. As an example how you can use your points at any time, you could redeem yours for a CVS $25 E-Certificate, which "costs" 2750 in points.

Since you are automatically entered once earning these sweeps entries, you don't have to do anything added which I like because I'm lazy If you go to the site, mysurvey dot com, you will be able to read about everything BEFORE you decide to join, plus canceling is easy. They have never spammed me, harassed me or anything.

I'm running on fumes, let me know if that helped or was incomprehensible!

I tried signing up. It sent me the confirmation email and I clicked on it. It sent me back to mysurvey, but this message popped up:

Join the GlobalTestMarket Community

Thanks for your interest in joining MySurvey.com. Due to account restrictions we're unable to process your registration, but we invite you to join our sister community, GlobalTestMarket.

GlobalTestMarket offers a variety of rewards like cash, vouchers and gift items for voicing your opinion. It's time to be heard, and rewarded!

Please look in your inbox for the GlobalTestMarket activation email to join today!-

And I try logging in, but instead of logging me in it says the same thing. It sent me another confirmation email, but to this website instead of MySurveys. I'm curious, did It do this to you to? Is that what it's suppose to do, or does it require certain qualifications that I did not qualify for? I'm wildly confused.

It did not do this for me. I'm sorry, I don't know that much about it, but I do know they have a another "branch" of the company, GlobalTestMarket. They are a BBB accredited business which should give you some comfort & they are also part of the Lightspeed Research Company, so they really are sister companies, not some random other company. There must be a reason you didn't qualify, if you live in the US. I checked & they are open to accepting new members right now.

I would go to the main page & at the bottom in tiny black letters are the links for FAQs, Privacy, About Us & Contact Us. Click 'Contact Us' & it takes you to a page where you can enter your question! Please, let me know what happens!

I also have another idea? They have a referral program, I can have them email you telling you about them & containing a link to join. If you succeeded, then I would get 150 points, just to be upfront about that. Approaching this with me recommending you might help?

Anyone else who wants to help me out, I would be happy to refer you, as well! Just PM me the email you want it sent to & I will put you on my Friends list which tells them you're okay. No pressure to do it through me, though!

Yeah, I sent them an email. And they fixed that for me. Sorry, I would have you recommend me but I had already signed up and they just fixed the registration. I didn't have to sign up again.

I do rewards website where you click links and answer survey and either can get a gift (Mailorama) or get the money (MoneyMillionnaire) on Paypal or bank account.
Sadly for you, it's european! MoneyMillionnaire will work if you use Paypal, though. I just put the money on Paypal and then buy stuffs from Etsy, and I already got some gifts from Mailorama. That's good.
