Just a couple of questions about your nails (mainly for those that identify themselves as female, but anyone can answer!)

I actually bite my nails. Bad habit, I know. Sometimes I manage not to for a couple of days, and when I manage to grow my nails a bit I'll paint them sometimes. (Although, painted nails won't stop me from biting).

I paint my toe nails a lot more often than my finger nails. And when I do, they're always one solid color.

I get my mani/pedi done every few weeks at a day spa. It's too expensive to do it more often there though, so if they need to be done for a trip or an event in between, I go to a regular nail salon that's more affordable. But my fingers and toes always match and I'm a little anal about it - no chips, uneven edges, uneven shapes, etc. They make me feel pretty and put-together even when I'm not so it's totally worth it to me

Oh, and no acrylics or gels for me - all natural nails!

I only stopped biting my nails a couple of years ago, and then I had to keep them super short for work. Now I can grow them out a tiny bit, and I'm trying to keep them painted regularly. I'm worried I'm going to get bored of it quickly, though.

So far my fingers and toes always match. I think I'd be ok with my toes being different if my fingers are a french manicure or clear, but we'll see as I start wearing more open-toed shoes...

And I'm with you on the "pretty and put-together" feeling. They just make me feel that much more polished, no matter what!

I don't like fake nails on me. I prefer my own. I like to keep my nails short and I'll paint them. Sometimes I will put a flower or stripe on my ring finger. I recently started doing french manicures.

Mine get jagged and sharp easily because they peel and cut gouged and stuff. I usually have them painted red but I usually let it chip away on its own. I dont keep up with the polish.

When I can afford it, I get acrylics and usually get the French Manicure. After I get bored with it, I usually do them all one color. If I can't afford the acrylics, I'll get glue ons, in French Manicure and often do them one color, when I get bored. I choose fairly short nails, or they get in the way and break off.

I've never had a pedicure (I don't like people touching my feet) but I often do my toe nails dark colors, dark red or black usually.

I used to do my nails all the time when I was a kid. My mom had a bunch of nail polish and I would love wearing all the different colors. In recent years I really haven't cared about my nails too much beyond trimming them when they get too long.

I'm horrible about keeping up with my nails. I try to keep them all about the same length at the very least, and I love seeing my fingernails all have a nice matching color and looking all pretty. I don't get acrylics very often because they just kill my nails when it comes time to take them off, then I have to wait for my nails to grow back out and it takes forever for them to look right again. I'll normally do my toenails and fingernails by myself, and I have no rules about having to have the colors match, although if I'm painting them both at one time I'll just match them to make it easier. Manicures and pedicures are treats for me, and I don't get them very often. Mostly to pamper myself when out with my sister. Right now my toenails are a blinding pink and my fingernails are a dark blue and all chipped to hell, lol.

I bite my nails too, but I don't even bother to paint them because it just ends up looking terrible when I do starting the biting again.

I don't do much with my fingernails, unless it's a special occasion. I do love to paint my toenails, though! Sometimes they're pretty wild, but it's fun to do.

my nails are totally natural. i keep them fairly long, but i hardly ever paint them.

I've never actually had my nails done professionally, which is strange considering I work at a spa. I have to keep mine really short for work though so I don't bother painting them or anything.

I cut my nails when they break or get long enough to irritate me, but other than that I don't do a whole lot with them. I do paint them once in a while though, always the same color when I do.

I will usually try to match my toenails to my nails but sometimes I prefer keeping a simple french mani on my toes.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE nail art! There are so many cool videos on youtube on how to do nail art and I enjoy doing it for myself and relatives if asked. I do pretty much anything I can think of but I am still an amateur.

The closest my nails are to being natural is when I put one coat of a nude or transluscent color on them to keep the color of the nail even.

I'm sort of nail crazy and have a crazy nail polish collection for someone who does not do nails proffesionaly. But it's a great hobby, it's girly and it makes me feel good when people notice my nails and compliment me. I'm proud of my work

I do nothing with my nails besides cut them to keep them short and minimize damage. I work in a kitchen, so I can't have nails anyway. From time to time I'll give myself a pedicure, and every few years I'll go out for one. But again I don't do much at all. I can't stand the feeling of a nail file, it makes my skin crawl.

I'm not terribly femme and working in EMS doesn't allow for nail polish anyhow. My nails are kept short but smooth, and my toes are usually done in a single polish colour. Oh, and I do it myself.

I like to paint my nails, though for the past few years I've been painting them less and less. I just started working in a deli, which involves a lot of washing and sanitizing, so my nails are all badly split and falling apart. I'd love to repaint them, but I need to start taking my nail and skin vitamins more so they start growing healthy and tough first.

I do both my husband's and my own nails, got to make sure his nails are nicely filed so I won't get scratched down under! I have never tried fake nails since I think they look like talons, I'm really amazed by how those ladies type or do anything at all with those talons on!
