You guys have chickens? 0.0
I used to beg my mom to let me have a few when I was a kid, who wouldn't want free eggs and a cute pet all in one? xD

When I was little my maine coon cat Ariel ran away and we never saw her again but other than that usually it's just Ceaser taking off like a bat out of hell if I drop his leash. Luckily it only happens at night (and only twice) and I've always caught him before he got hurt.

A very devastating thing to go through, losing a pet in any way whatsoever. I thankfully have had very devoted pets. However, my first cat had bunches and bunches of babies and we never could get her fixed because she was always pregnant! LOL. No, I will not abort cats. It's not my decision to abort a mother's baby, even if it is a cat. Anyways, I chose to care for each and every kitty she had. Which was at least 12, but all at seperate litters. ALL male except one--Patise who I still have! She's been with me I guess for about 7 years now. WOW! That's a long time. Maybe longer.

Anyways, the males run away. I had one male, Edward fixed and the bastard left me within the same week! I was only trying to help him. I didn't want him getting in fights and beat up. So he must not have taken well to his procedure. Then out of the same litter, Petey, Albie, Sam, and Edwin all gradually left me. Edwin was the male who stuck around the longest. He was a beautiful cat. I called him Kittychilla because he looked like a kitty and a chinchilla! He loved me, but ended up staying gone for days at a time til' he finally left me for good. It was too much heartache.

Anyways, we randomly have a white cat that comes around. I used to leave my window open and once woke up to a HUGE white cat in the floor looking at me asleep and meowing loudly. Scared the daylights out of me, but he got to where he'd come in my window at night, but would run if I woke up. I swear I think it's my old Albie!

Glad your chickens were all herded back safely. I really don't know what I'd do if I lost any more pets.

My terrier used to run away every chance he got. Once it took us a day and a half to find him. He's quit running away now, and he's old and fat enough that I think i could catch him if he tried. But when he was a puppy through about 4 years old, it was hard to keep track of him.

My German Shepard ran away whenever he could. We always had him back by the next day though. Usually we could find him, but sometimes he would have to make his way back to the house

Yes, we had a dog get out of our fenced in yard and run away a few years ago. She never came back so we don't know what happened to her. She jumped/climbed the fence which is 4 feet high!

My cat Tripp ran away after moving to the city (he has always been an outdoor cat) I loved that cat. He was sweet and loyal. He was my first and only cat. I'd like to think nothing bad ever happened to Tripp and that he found a new owner, some old lady with cat treats who loves him.. sadd face
