Seen your parents engaged in coitus? And not just as a young child, but as an older child/teen/adult and remembered it vividly?

Maybe it's a weird question and there may be some weird reactions, but I was reminded of a personal incident by a comment on my blog. Not that any of that actually matters. Anywho, early in my teen years (13-15) I would "borrow" tapes from my dad's VHS porn collection. I used to fast-forward to all the juicy parts and skip the stripping/lead-up bs. That was until the day I made a mistake and grabbed *gasp* a HOME MOVIE!!! A home movie of my parents. Doing IT. I was so embarrassed I never borrowed another porn from dad's collection. I never looked at my parents the same, and it took me weeks to be able to look my dad in the eye. Needless to say, I was scarred for life!

My parents are really open minded and probably some of the coolest people on the planet, and I have since told them what happened. It has been around 10 years since the incident and we are all pretty open about the topic of sex so I did fess up once. They laughed it off with me and it is water under the bridge now (though I will never forget it!). Now, I am curious if
anyone else has had any similar or completely different experience as mine.

Don't be chicken, your story can't be as bad as mine...

a video.....that would traumatize me forever!

I used to hear my parents having sex ALL THE TIME ever since I was old enough to know what the sounds were. I used to be a horrible sleeper, so I was always awake when they went to bed at night. And apparently they had/have a very active sex life. I used to try to interrupt them to get them to stop (what can I say, I didn't "understand" really...I was like 6-10 years old) like stomping around my room or going to the bathroom. When I got older I would listen to headphones when it was about that time of night.

I totally had a complex as a result of it. I hated hearing it, but for some sick reason I would keep an ear out for it. It sure is nice to live on my own now...I can look them in the eye now!

I did tell them eventually that I heard it all the time, and they were too embarrassed to have a real conversation.

Nope, my parents couldn't make a home made sex tape because of us kids! guess you could say we ruined that for them. I have heard my mother when I was younger (child) and into my teens.
It finally took me yelling up the stairs, "GODDAMMIT CAN'T YOU SHUT UP FOR ONE NIGHT I'M TRYING TO STUDY!" to get them to realize, "Hey, the kids can hear us..."

Though I have tried getting mom to open up on her sex life and make a tape now that my brother and I don't live with her and my other two siblings don't care for TV. She still doesn't believe me that it could open her and dad up to more things. Dad is all for it of course.

I never had an experience like you did, mine is quite opposite. I swear my parents had sex once, which explains my existence.

Now on the flip side, my kids may have a totally different experience. Not only are we not afraid to shut the door for private time while the kids are awake and roaming the house, we have tons of sex toys, homemade sex videos and over 20,000 nude and xxx photos of my wife, all stored in our bedroom. At some point in their future, I'm sure they will get the shock of their life. Lol

I can't say that I have. The closest thing I've ever seen to that, is a pic of my late step dad, deep throating my dad. My dad took the pic, forgot it was on the camera, the film went in to get printed, and I just happened to be the one to open it first. My step dad blushed so red, I couldn't stop laughing.

I heard my parent multiple times, once i walked in on them in the middle of the day so it was bright out and i could clearly see my mom on top and of course your eyes immediately go to the worst spot and i turned and ran out as fast as i could. Then one time i was showing a friend my parents porn and i put one in, turns out it was my dad and mom not a real porn that was horrible.

I love how open you are about your love life. How old are your kids, if I may ask.

I'm sure one day they will get nosy (like all kids do) and go through your room. Bet it will only take once and they will never step foot in there again!

Before I had Lasik, I could see very little without my glasses. Well, once, when home from college for the Summer, I awoke really early, but it was already light out. I had the worst reflux & no antacids left, so I went prowling for some, but didn't put my glasses on because I hoped to fall back in bed, fast! Imagine my surprise when I get to the dressing area of my parent's room to look for some Tums & I see through the doorway into their bedroom my dad entering my mom, in some bizarre position! I acted like I didn't see anything, turned around quickly & left. You know, I was just glad they were still sexually active in the first place, but at the time, I was embarrassed that they might think I saw them & they would be uncomfortable. I didn't get freaked or grossed out - I have never had a problem thinking that my parents or siblings have sex, even when I was little & others thought it gross when their parents' kissed in front of them.
