Have you ever been to jail?

I haven't personally (stop replying to this thread if you don't have an interesting story to tell, you demand), but will instead tell you an interesting story. When I was in university, I used to post on Craigslist to meet up with people who wanted to take a sweet young college girl out to breakfast/lunch/dinner . I like meeting new people and getting new food, so it usually worked out really well. This one time, I met up with this very tall, muscular guy in his mid to late twenties. He was maybe 6'4", built like a brick house and had that very well-cared-for slicked back black ponytail + skinny beard that I for some reason picture being on mob members or whatever. I didn't really think much of it, because people judge me on my appearance all the time without it having any basis in fact, and we had a great breakfast. He was funny, worked hard (he'd just bought the auto shop where he'd been working for 7 years) and we had a really nice breakfast. Near the end, he let something slip - I don't remember what - and when I asked him about it, he admitted that he had spent a bit of time in jail. A bit of time three different times. He didn't say what he'd done, which made me a little nervous, but he had mentioned earlier that he used to be good friends with a certain Mary Jane, so that and his age (you can't have been in jail three times for serious crimes if you're that young and have been out for at least 7 years) calmed me down a bit. I was more than a little shocked at the time, but it didn't really bother me after I thought about it. I mean, either he's changed his ways or he's smart enough not to get caught anymore, and I like intelligence anyways. less
