Yes, once. I was in a grocery store and one of their freezers leaked. You couldn't see the water though and there wasn't a sign to indicate the floor was wet. Both my mom and I slipped and we got hurt (her far worse than me). I just wanted he medical bills covered. I was able to settle out of court.

A lawsuit is no trivial matter and should be avoided when all possible. That said, many people at the receiving end of a lawsuit usually only have themselves to blame. In all likelihood they entered into an agreement that they did not understand, a financial debt they could ill afford to pay, and almost always employing poor judgment. In other instances it can be simply unfortunate luck, or bad Karma. Those persons who initiate a lawsuit are often naive, lack fortitude and conviction, and underestimate the wherewithal for conducting a potentially protracted legal case.

I am not a litigious person, but I have on a number of occasions had to take legal action. Over the course of quite a few years, maybe a dozen times, I chose to litigate matters which were both personal and business in nature. Most of these were concluded before even reaching the courthouse steps. Each of the cases were successfully concluded in my favor, and in addition allowed me to recover my legal expenses. Nine out of ten times I required the assistance of an attorney. The primary reason for my receiving a successful conclusion was because of due diligence.
