Have you noticed Christmas items already being sold in local stores? Labor Day 2012

Hobby Lobby was putting summer on clearance at the end of June and starting to put up Christmas already!

I've noticed them at craft stores, which makes sense with people needing time to make decorations and such. I haven't noticed them in normal stores yet.

I've been seeing it for the past few years. I've even seen Christmas stuff pop up before -any- Halloween stuff. It's rather disheartening, because the more space they take up with Christmas items, the less space they have for Halloween stuff.

The retail store I work at has received quite a bit of Christmas stuff however we do not have it out on our sales floor yet. We have only just started really getting Halloween stuff in. I can understand why stores put up holiday stuff so far ahead of holidays. The store I work at has a seasonal section that is empty once summer is coming to an end. It's lawn and garden most of the summer. Once that starts emptying out the Halloween and Christmas stuff starts going in. Most stores would probably rather have something out for sale rather than an empty area of the store. I can say that my store is not "hurting for sales." We're the highest profiting store in this region.

I'm with you there! I don't really like Xmas for a few reasons, this being one of the biggest ones, people just get too crazy.
