Threads, typically, are meant to offer some sort of discussion or involved participation (such as in the Eden Games section). This isn't Facebook and random "Hello!" and "Good night!" messages (as well as variants thereof) aren't encouraged. About the only time I can think of a thread that doesn't really offer much discussion is when it's someone in the Upgrade Request forum asking for an upgrade or someone in the Welcome forum introducing themselves as a newbie. Otherwise, even in the Social section (which is sort of the catch-all forum for threads which don't have a specific forum), threads should offer discussion.

Yeah, this isn't really the place for this particular type of interaction. You're more than welcome to leave messages on the walls of people following you, in a Facebook fashion but the forums are for discussing topics that are important to us as a community of sex-toy enthusiasts and other issues concerning adults in the world at large. I would really hate to see you be reported for spamming the forums for just trying to spark up a conversation. But, feel free to talk about current events or other issues that might get the community talking.
