I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but I was curious about the ratio of the Hitachi lovers against the Mystic wand. It says on reviews that it isn't as strong, but I've heard others sing its praises as far as strength goes and I'd really love to know which of you would actually prefer the Mystic over it.

Though it isn't overly convenient that you have to plug the Hitachi in, as I know it is still much more powerful than the Mystic Wand.
My Baby is a power queen, so much that even the Hitachi isn't enough for her sometimes. She isn't even interested in the Mystic Wand btw.
I bet she will bump into this thread too, and tell you what her favorite massagers are, being more powerful than the Hitachi. She has a few she grabs when she wants more power.

I tried ordering the Mystic Wand at one point and I had to return it because it wouldn't work. Many people stand by the Hitachi so go for that one.

I find the large, original Fairy Wand more powerful than Hitachi, though it isn't as deep and rumbly, but gobbles yer flesh good enough...
The purple and pink My Mini-Miracle Massagers (Electro Power Kit and Pleasure Kit) are way more powerful than the Hitachi too, though they numb your fingers like a Nightmare, but their power is more than satisfying!
Aaaaaaaaand my mossssssssssssssssst favorite massager is the Couture Collection Inspire, WAYWAY MORE POWERFUL THAN ANY VIBES I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED, deep, rumbly, strong, HYPERPOWERED, IT IS TOTALLY UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!! !!! ^^
The 2-speed Wahl has mindblowing power too but the heads move in a way what is not entirely comfortable for my flesh, so I wouldn't mention it among my favorites...
The smaller Fairies are lovely too, but not as powerful as the large Fairy Wand of course...
(Let's leave Acuvibe and Ideal out, as they aren't strong enough at all, not to mention the horribly awful Mini Magic Wand what has an AMAZING universal charger, and you should check out in my review on it why it is the ultimate off the grid toy lover's charger accessory!!! ^^)
That's pretty much it - if you don't mind the price then go for the CC Inspire, and I've got the pink version with the heads too (I have aaaaaall of the available heads now, and all the other massager heads available on EF too, as others fit on the CC Inspires, and their heads fit on other massagers too! ^^), haven't tried it yet but I am DYING TO CHECK IT OUT ALREADY!!!!!!!!! ^^

I didn't vote, because I honestly feel they're both worth having--just for different things.
I like the Hitachi because it is guaranteed to get me off, no matter what, and if I'm in a hurry, I can reach orgasm quickly (and even through clothing).
The Mystic Wand isn't as powerful, but I'd say that its "high" setting is just a smidge less intense than the Hitachi on "low," so it is still very strong. The one thing that annoys me about the Mystic Wand isn't a lack of power per se, but the fact that the flexible neck doesn't let you use as much pressure as you can with the Hitachi. That said, it's definitely worth having for the following reasons: you can use it more easily during partner sex (it's smaller and cordless), it's easier to travel with (for the same reasons), it has three speeds and three patterned vibrations whereas the Hitachi only has two, and the head is made of silicone, so it's easier to clean and less porous.
On the whole, if you're trying to decide between the two, I would say get the Hitachi first--it's just a good vibrator to have for days when all else fails. I do think, though, that the Mystic Wand would be a good choice if you ever find yourself wanting something smaller.
