...I'd be grabbing the nearest blunt object or a knife and carefully scanning the house for creepers or robbers.
If, however, this was in the future when my bf and I were finally living together...I'd be tickled pink by such a sweet, albeit mildly cheesy gesture and play along with pretty much whatever he had planned.
I'm quite the sucker for things like that, and he's not the sort to do something like that to make up for a mistake of some type so it would most likely be his way of cheering me up after a bad day.

I would look outside to make sure hubby's car is out there. Then I would wonder what he did wrong that he was kissing butt for. Hubby is not a romantic so he wouldn't do this kind of thing.
