My honey told me the other day that when he was at Walmart, if we used a Walmart gift card or credit card - gas was down to $3.19 per gallon.

I was just curious what other folks were paying for gas - we live in SW Texas.

When I filled up last week it was $3.84 per gallon. Ridiculous price!

Two weeks ago, it was $3.19, then it jumped up 16-cents to $3.35 just last week. This past Monday it jumped 10-cents to $3.45. It's not even a holiday weekend yet. East-Central Florida.

Although after some calculations, Master is paying the equivalent of $10USD a (US) gallon in England. And he has an hour commute each way from home to work ... good thing he's an engineer ... he can just afford to put gasoline in his tank ...

We've been dropping a bit, were about $4.35 a few months ago. Last I saw was anywhere between $3.35 and $3.75 lately. I'm in the Chicago suburbs.

Gas stations often take a loss on credit card transactions. They only make pennies in profit on gas purchases, and the cost of processing credit card payments is greater than the amount made. However, charging customers extra to use a credit card is questionable: Can a merchant charge customers to pay with a credit card?

Right now, gas $3.39/gallon here.

Yep! When you use a wal mart gas card or credit card, it's ten cents less!

I don't have a car but the last time I went with my gf to get gas it was only $2.89 a gallon with the gas card! It was WONDERFUL!! Her car is a total gas guzzler (84 el camino).

It is about $3.35 right now. Every $50 you spend at Giant eagle gives you $0.10 off and we actually manage to pill up like $0.60 a month. So helps a lot.

Nothing. I use public transportation. With my student ID, it's free!

Last time I was home, though (a few weeks ago), I think it was $3.35/gallon.

Both of my cars require premium at about $4 a gallon. That's about $260 a month just to drive to and from work.
