How often do you change your avatar?

Falsepast Falsepast
Just out of curiosity. In the time that I've been here, I've seen some change it multiple times while others leave it set at one image. I personally think I may have changed it once or twice but I forget.

I have only changed it once...I was using an alley cat lingerie pic as an avatar when I started here but then I changed it to the red head and I like that one best.

Only changed it once or twice. It just doesn't really occur to me. I'm usually too busy to think about it.

I like it when they stay the same (or close to the same) so you can recognize people by them. But I'm kind of odd, so!

I have changed mine three or four times. I usually change it when I find something I like better than my current one. Been awhile since my last change, might have to look for something new...

I think if I changed it, I might not realize where I was.

I really like my avatar. It is a picture I took and it reflects my personality while being anonymous. I won't say never, but it's not likely that I will ever change mine. When the avatar that changes is a picture of the contributor I still recognize it/who they are. But there are some changes that I get confused with who they are after the avatar change.

I've only had two avatars. I kind of feel people know me by my avatar, and if I changed it, it might take people a while to know, "Oh, that's P'Gell now."

I like my avatar, it says "ME!" in a good way, you can see what it is (some avatars I stare at for minutes going, "what the hell is that?") and it even kind of looks like me. (I don't have a leather or latex dress like that, nor does my waist get that thin, but damn, wouldn't that be cool if I did?)

I don't have a time one it. It's just whenever I get sick of looking at that same picture. I use my face, so I get sick of looking at myself. I have changed mine 10 times in the time I've been here. Which is going to be a year next month.

I don't ever change mine. As others have said, I feel like people know me by my avatar and I wouldn't want to throw people off. I usually go down forum posts and look at the avatars first. If I don't know them, then I read the name. So I feel like by changing my avatar, I'd create more work or things I said might go unnoticed as by me. I dunno.

I change it whenever I see an awesome, usually pony related pic I want to make my avatar.

Once. I was wearing a different corset--but after I got the Racer one from EF decided that would make a better one for the site. Now I feel like no one would know me if I did change it. I tried to use my name once--had a few people let me know someone else took my boobs and was using me as their avatar. Obviously I am js250 on here forever--fine with me, I was just trying to put an actual name to the avatar.

I NEVER change avitars, on Facebook, forums, DeviantArt, Tumblr, or what have you. I just think that it's what people know is me, and if I changed it it wouldn't be me anymore.

I understand people that like to change it a lot, though, I guess I'm just sentimental.

I've only changed mine once. Like some of the other EFers, I think it's better to keep the same avatar so it's easier for people to recognize you (if your avatar is unique).

I tried out two others, but decided to keep the threshhold b&w pic I did for former-Master. I change it for the holidays (or whenever an EF party leaves an impression - the only place that ever saw the legendary cleavage).

Kinda funny ... my identity here is the result of past relationships ... ex-FWB Mulder who bestowed "Chilipepper" on me, and former-Master for whom my icon photo was made ...

Agreed, I'm pretty much in the same boat. I haven't changed mine yet. I think Ryuson is right. Other than faces on EF, avatars are the quickest way to recognize someone here. Especially if their icon is unique and you haven't seen it anywhere else.

Oh yes, the cleavage. Ya know, I must admit it is not the cleavage I remember the most but that wonderful red hair that framed it!

I haven't changed my avatar yet and I don't plan to, only because I want others to get used to it. Changing it would just confuse others to think I'm someone else. And besides, I love my avatar.

I've changed it a couple times. Whenever I get bored of the old picture I'll put in a new one.

I've changed mine once. I used to have one of the generic ones, but once I started sticking around the site more, I wanted a picture that no one else had. Like a lot of other people have said, I recognize people by their avatars, so it throws me off when people change them a lot. I don't see myself changing mine again.

I don't usually change mine - I use avatars to identify members, as others have said. I use mine to find my posts in a thread, and then I'll look for others' avatars too. When folks keep changing them, I get confused! But I usually start to recognize the new ones before too long.

GONE! GONE!
I've only changed mine once, I'll probably change it again soon.

I've kept mine the same since I first joined! I feel like the longer I keep it the same the more recognizable I'll probably be. I don't really want to change it anyway.
