We visit walmart every day... we go, we get things, and by the time we leave the parking lot we realize we've forgotten something and have to go back the next day.

I usually go twice a week to two stores. I only buy what's on sale at its lowest sale price. I stockup on it so I will have enough for my family till the items go back on sale the next time. Sometimes I only go once a week or not at all if there is nothing I need at the moment.

I'm a big fan of couponing but sometimes I don't have coupons and still save half with BOGO sales. My budget for food is just $50 a month for two people. We always have plenty of food!

Back home, I went twice a week often because the grocery was close and I had a car. On campus, I only just started going a few weeks ago when I remembered that the bus here is actually supposed to be reliable. Now I figured out I can go once a week pretty easily, only problem is I can't make the fruit I get last that long... I eat it all in the first few days, then eat all the frozen veggies for the rest of the week.

I say other because, it depends on funds at the time. Also, depends on if something is needed.
I'm going on Saturday, to do a $250 grocery trip. Many of those items should last about 3-4 weeks. All depends on coupons and sales. Of course, I'll still need to buy some things in between.

Usually just pick up stuff that is quickly expiring every few days like fruits and veggies, but the main stuff is just for the weekends. I go through juice every week though.

The closest full sized grocery store is about a half hour away, so I really plan when I go to the store. We have a convenience store within walking distance, but those prices are high.

2-3 times a week for a few things. Usually at the beginning of the month we'll go nuts and get all of our non-perishables for the month (sauces, grains, canned things, dry goods) and then get fresh things throughout the week as needed.

I go whenever I feel well enough to do it, but it's usually once every 2-3 weeks, I like to do all at once. When it's fresh fruit & veggie season & my garden isn't yet producing, I may go weekly to buy those. I'm a prepper, so I have enough non-perishable food to live on for months & it comes in handy when I get too sick. I don't have to panic that I have no food & no way to get it, plus I don't have to bother anyone else to help me. I now live close to a 24hr big grocery store & being able to go at any time, when there's few people is so nice, I will probably go more often in the future.
