How Quickly Do You Get Immediate Attention Chores Done?

Contributor: Lucky21 Lucky21
Well, this struck me because it snowed here this weekend, and frankly, the fact that I can't be some what leisurely about shoveling makes it one of my most loathed chores. So, those chores that kinda need to get done sooner rather than later, are you procrastinator, somewhere in between or something else all together?

I'm a procrastinator. I lean when it really needs to be done, or I have to do something else and need a distraction.

I'm also a procrastinator, but if something needs immediate attention, I'll get it done asap.

I'll wait to do something until a) there is ten seconds left to do it or b) someone gets annoyed and does it for me. I'm, like, stupid amounts of lazy and a really awful procrastinator.

At work, I have to have a to do list sorted by importance. I have to keep it in front of me all day. That way it's a reminder to do what needs to be done. I'm way better about getting things done at work. At home? Not so much.

It very much depends. I have to admit, growing up with no neighbors, we didn't really mow the lawn until the grass was about to go to seed, so when I'm living in cities I'm very appreciative of having a landlord who does it for me

But, like, cleaning the kitchen? I do that immediately, usually I start pots soaking and wipe the counters down while everyone else is serving him/herself, and I usually have to get yelled at before I'll grab my food and sit down. But, having a sloppy kitchen makes it hard for me to relax. Having a tall-grassed lawn? Meh, it's just more comfy to watch clouds on that way!

it really depends for me. i'm bad about procrastinating when it comes to getting projects for school done, though i've gotten a lot better about it, but homework i usually try to do a soon as possible so i don't have to worry about it. when it comes to housework, i'll sometimes put it off till i have no clean clothes or dishes.

I end up doing those nasty chores...but never rush to get them "out of the way"...much as I should.

Definitely a procrastinator. I can't help it. I put things off as long as possible.

I will put it off and then haul ass to get it done right and on time. It does depend on what it is and how I am feeling that day, though. Sometimes on my high energy days, everything gets done double time, low energy days---well----it will get done.......eventually.

It really depends on my energy level and the danger if I leave something till later.

I usually get all chores done within 20-30 minutes of finding out about them. The chore of homework or writing a paper, I procrastinate the shit out of that and still get things done awesomely.

I have a very hard time concentrating most of the time, so things like papers and homework always got put off until the last minute because I just couldn't focus on them. I admit that things like shoveling and laundry I leave for my husband, and dishes are one of those things that unless I can make myself get on it right away, I probably won't get on it very quickly.

Immediate attention chores are immediate attention chores because that need to be done immediately. That said, I sometimes get them done sooner or later...

I don't like feeling like I *have* to do something. I'm not lazy, as I will randomly sew a skirt while baking cookies and making a bracelet, but if someone tells me I *have* to do something, I'll typically put it off as long as I can. I just hate the feeling of doing something because it's necessary. It's much easier to enjoy it if I feel like it's my choice.

I'm a terrible procrastinator and always have been. When it comes to chores and other stuff I really don't feel like doing I'll wait as long as possible before I get them done. My husband is exactly the opposite so we clash a lot when it comes to doing stuff around the house.
