So, I've noticed that a few users on this site have been web cam girls either in the past or are currently doing web cam shows.

I was wondering, how do you feel about that line of work? Is it fun or bad? And does it pay well?

I've seriously been considering it for over a week now. I'm seriously broke and I'm not used to not having extra back up cash tucked away. It's scaring the hell out of me and some extra cash flow would be a miracle right now

This is an interesting question. It's not a type of thing I'd ever do, but I'm also interested in hearing from cam girls about what the experience is actually like.

I've been kind of thinking about this, too. My friend brought up the idea, and I looked into a little bit, but I've never done it. I've also been wondering how much the average cam girl makes, what they usually have to do, etc. Good question!

I haven't tried webcamming, but I was considering it myself as well. I have a friend who has started dabbling in it, and she's finding it's not all that it's cracked up to be. The thing is, it can be a big money maker, but you will have to put a LOT of time and effort into it. Most customers will want to go cam to cam, and will expect you to have a fairly regular schedule. You'll also have to deal with a lot of people expecting freebies.

I would recommend starting a studio on clips4sale or kinkbomb for extra income. You film clips of pretty much anything, (there is a fetish out there for hair brushing, blowing bubbles with bubble gum, anything) set the price based on the length of the clip, and as long as you update somewhat regularly and have a decent selection, you should be able to make some extra cash. Clips4sale does payouts every month, but you do have to generate at least $50 in income in order to get a check each month. It's definitely worth looking into if you're on the voyeuristic side.

You're welcome. It is a bit daunting at first, but a simple layout and a nice selection of clips is all you need. Mine still has a small selection so I don't make much money from it, but if I were to put just a bit more effort into it, I would get payouts each month.

It's liberating, fun, confidence boosting and on top of that, you're paid well to diddle yourself I'm not a regular at it, I do it here and there a few times a month and it's fantastic.

I am on day 3 of doing it and its not so bad if you wait for the nice people. tonight sucks ass though, ive only made 10$ so far. I made 50$ in two hours.

I still dont know how i feel about it though, there seems to be a personal stigma battle going on inside my head right now. I like extra money but if its like tonight is im going to shoot myself.

There are tons of sites though and once i get past all the annoying scan this, sign it, send it back bullshit i will decide if they are worth it for real.

I think Iwill be looking you up. I am on livejasmin and I started at 98. a min. I'm starting to wonder if my promotional period is what made me 50$ in two hours... now im at 1.99 a min and they all want the freebies and shit.

Shit, I didn't know you cammed. Awesome!!

I'm currently on hiatus because I'm waiting for an account to close. That and I'm creating a new persona. I'm going to be donning a wig and doing my makeup different than in normal life to protect my privacy.

I'm also seriously looking into clips4sale. I love the idea of doing "weird" videos for money.
