I CAN'T Leave!

Contributor: aliceinthehole aliceinthehole
i can leave without any or all of those things. i leave my door unlocked many times, don't really care if i have my cell with me or not... don't wear much makeup. and live downtown so i can walk just about anywhere. if i leave without my credit card and ID though, my boy'll be paying at the bar... if i'm let in.

I need a brief case full of...well...kinda like fear and loathing, only times 10.

I will not go anywhere without my cellphone, cash, keys, and a few pieces of makeup.

Keys. I rarely carry cash. I try to remember by phone but it's not a big deal if I leave it.

Keys and cellphone. I need to be able to get back in my house and I'd like to be able to contact people if there's a problem.

Phone to call the taxi, cash to pay the taxi, keys to get back in the house, asthma inhaler in case of emergencies.

If I'm going somewhere that I'll be waiting, or there's a long travel time, then I'll need my kindle and a bottle of water.

Keys and wallet. I have a tendency to "forget" my cellphone at home. I hate having one. I also do my makeup in the car, but I leave that little bag in there, so I don't forget it.

Keys, cellphone, wallet, leatherman multi-tool, pen, pocket knife and electrical tape. Maybe more. Don't ask. I'm just usually prepared to fix something.

Nice to find someone else like me! Although I can't say I don't wear "any" because I do wear lipstick, but that's all. My husband tolerates it, but he's never very happy about it.

I'm also NEVER caught without my water bottle, like a few other people have mentioned. I drink AT LEAST a half gallon of water a day, but usually more! I keep gallon jugs in my car to refill it when I run out.

Is it sad that I also carry two pocket knives, mini multi-tool, fire starter, wet tinder, hand sanitizer, band-aids, BZK wipes, signal mirror, Fresnel lens, three flashlights, three lighters, mini screwdriver set, usb charging cables, toothbrush, toothpaste, dental floss, and more?

My keys no matter what. There's nobody there to let me back in! Also, stuff for my toddler...usually a whole bag o' crap.

Every thing you mentioned except the cigarettes and lighter and the sunglasses, but I can't leave without reading glasses.

My purse is stuffed, I have the phone and the money and my wallet with my insurance cards in them, along with credit cards, driver's license etc (you never know) make up (at least 5 to 7 lipsticks and lip glosses, total. Eye liner, some other stuff,) directions (I can rarely get out of my driveway without instructions) meds for me, meds for my kids, Motrin, because someone will have a headache, and then I'm On Call with my friends and family. ("Oh, P'Gell always has meds on her. Ask her.") Of course, Lactaid, beacause I NEVER know when I might run into something that has milk in it and then, I'd be screwed without the Lactaid. I have to have a bottle of water with me. I used to carry snacks and kid stuff when my kids were younger. They bring their own stuff, now.

If I'm seeing a client for work, forget about it. I have a sensitive baby scale, my brief case, a bag filled with disposable gloves, hospital cleaner, my stethoscope, nipple shields, tube feeders, syringes etc. Then 70,000 pieces of paper work to fill out, and sometimes my lap top.

My husband just has his wallet in his pocket and grabs his smokes and he's ready to go. *SIGH* It drives him crazy that it takes me so long to get out of the house.

The funny thing is that normally I hate bringing my cellphone everywhere and try to leave it on purpose, but whenever I leave it at home and go out is when I find myself actually needing it. Gah.

Just my phone. Occasionally I will leave thpe door unlock if I'm just running across the street for a few minutes, and I never, ever, carry cash.

Wallet, purse, keys, phone, lip balm. Sunglasses if I will be the driver in the evening (one of the streets to get home points directly into the evening sun. Ouch). For general errands, that's it.

I take my purse which is small and has just the bare minimum: cellphone, wallet with money/cards, a lip balm of some sort, feminine emergency needs (you never know when mama nature will come calling), a couple condoms and lube packets (practice what you preach), keys, and a few hard candies or gum.

Add a diaper bag for the baby and we are ready to go! Funny story: Sigel bought the diaper bag we currently use so that he could snicker when Arch carries it...it is pink and red flowers on a black background. Arch looked at it, realized what Sigel had done and threw it over his shoulder complaining that it didn't match his shoes.

I put my eReader in my bowling bag and diaper bag. Beats getting a paper book ruined or lost!
