Adult videos seem to be something people either want to own or else just watch online. Someone I know, who owns a video store, is thinking about a select location "adult video rental machine", similar to the devices other companies use for mainstream movies. While looking into all the legal aspects of it, he is still wondering if there is, or is not, a real market for it.

Would YOU use such a device? (He is thinking locations like BARS, HOTELS and NIGHTCLUBS), which are adult only establishments, might be a great "first start" location.

As long as it was placed in an adult only location, otherwise you might have underage rentals--a big legal NO-NO. I would use this on ocassion, but not if I had to go into a bar-just me, I don't go to bars anymore.

I like the rental machine idea since most adult movies aren't worth owning, and I prefer to watch those movies on a regular TV screen than online. Like js250 mentioned, location is important, it has to be off-limit to underage renters, but convenient enough for people like us who don't visit bars to gain access.

Depends on how discreet the machine is. If it's somewhere relatively public where people can stare over my shoulder while I make my selection, then probably not.

I think it's a good idea, but I feel as though it would have a bit of a limited audience. Probably more appealing to the mainstream and harder to cater to the more niched audiences.
