But why communism?
I heared that the smurfs are a hint to the KKK, because of the white hoods, the boss has the read hood and they are fighting against the jews (Gargamel and Azrael are jewish names).

I'm open to whatever kind of ideas anyone has! Traditionally, it's just one adjective and everyone is different, but this is a hypothetical. People can be as creative as they'd like!

Well, they all dress the same, exist only to better the village (and they all have one job to do, which they have to do because that's what their name says they have to do - you never see Chef Smurf the detective or the circus performer - he's a chef). They have a 1984-style language where things are simplified as much as possible. I read a rant about it that compared Gargamel to America - he's greedy, wanting to kill the Smurfs without any logical reason except for his own self-centered nature, and rather incompetent about it. Smurfs are tiny - it really shouldn't be that hard to wipe them out.

I think based on my general personality and behavior I'd probably pick one like "Random Smurf" myself though.

I will admit the smurf name generator I posted the link to can give kinda lame-o names, but it's worth a shot.

@ surreptitious, just cause they're small, doesn't make them easy to wipe out. For instance, look at the difficulties we have wiping out different tiny insects! Hmm, I wonder if Smurfs crunch or squish when you step on them?
