Probably not.
I have way too many friends who'd want a piece of the money. I feel like they would all think of a reason why I owe them money, if they knew I won. Also, my family would try to say I owe them. I feel like people I know personally would come after me most

I wouldn't tell anyone except my close friends. I'd use the money for my transition and move my partner and I comfortably into a nice place, set aside extra money and then use the rest on friends who need financial help! I'd really try to keep it quiet, I wouldn't want attention for it.

I wouldn't tell the public. I would use the money to pay off debts (truck, college loans) then work on getting use our own place and some necessities for it and probably take a nice 2nd honeymoon. The goal would be to save as much of it as possible.

There is a French comedy about a man who wins the lottery and tries to hide it from everyone he knows, because he is embarrassed about showing off. He buys vintage wine and pours it into cheaper bottles before serving it to friends, etc.
I would love to hide my winnings but I think the state I am in discloses winners. Bummer.

Not at all (though I think in my state you have to) because I live in a VERY small town and everyone would know immediately and know where I live and I'd get robbed/broken in. I'm not paranoid, this would definitely happen. Has already happened to many people around here who won stuff.
