Interesting and strange living arrangements.

Contributor: TheToyGuy TheToyGuy
I was listening to the radio today and they were talking about interesting living arrangements.

Like living with your ex while your new partner moves in.

Or after divorce you stay together.

So anything interesting like that?

I've heard of strange living arrangements but never experienced them myself. When I moved out on my own I refused to let anyone live with me. I even made sure I set up the extra bedroom so no friends could live with me either. I've heard too many horror stories of people living with friends. I never even let my boyfriends move in with me. Once my now husband and I got real serious we moved in together so he is the 1st and only person I've lived with.

The only one I've seen personally, is my mother in law. I paid half for her divorce costs because she stressed she couldn't be married to the guy anymore but couldn't afford the divorce. Well after the divorce they stayed together and he expressed how much they love each other still. So I think I wasted my money for them two to still be living together. This was about 5 years ago and they're still with each other. Still divorced and all.

a-a, now I see

1) a couple with their 20 something year old son moved from a distant rundown town to another town - better standards, close to the capital of the country.
Since both were fed up long ago, once they moved they got divorced, but since the kid's an adult, and they both invested into a 3 bedroom apartment they started fighting over who's gonna move out.
As it stands, the man wants his share of money or a smaller flat, and the wife doesn't care. she's got a boyfriend who sometimes comes into the house, when hubby's not around. both the son and the husband got to know him.

2) one woman lives alone, but some times her sister or nephew crush at hers for a couple of weeks.
if it's the sister, they drink and have guests. If it's the nephew - not sure, maybe the same story with the siater - anyway, the other person brings some date for the evening. The woman takes soporific not to hear them. And they bring it on on the couch in the same room.

3) this one's from a Muslim community: one man had several inofficial 'wives', and the first wife - someone called something like the 'headwife' or a 'senior wife'. As he got to his 60s or 70s, they had a fight with her and her son, either begotten or from previous marriage.
He fractured some of his bones, and the old man escaped to another town to his first son's house. half a year later he passed.
but the weird par is this headwife's son - he's a widower, both of his wives died early, but it seemed they did so themselves. that's why he was looked upon with caution by the rest of the relatives. so hell knows, maybe the old man truly died to cancer and not something else.

4) there's a guy from Europe who got divorced. lives alone and they split the kids like 50-50. so it's not just him paying the whole 100% childcare, but something like more favourable for him. The kids live with his mother, but can live or visit him 50% of the time.
he owns a TPE realistic doll.
when he has guests or even his kids, he places the doll between a wall and a wardrobe, so she stands and doesn't fall. he makes sure it is wearing clothes as he sets her there.
