My family is very open. We usually talk about everything. My Nana makes jokes about sex all the time, as do I. I usually talk about sex with my Nana and my Aunt. They are very open about the whole thing and we usually make it into a joke. It is nice. I love having an open and friendly family that isn't prude about sex. Maybe that is where I get it from!

Oh god no.
Well, not our sex lives. My mom, after all, was the one who had me start taking birth control. She thought I was having sex just because I was wearing skinny jeans. ... u_u
We tend to avoid the subject.

I am very open with my children about sex and of course sexually transmitted diseases. They had heard the horror stories. The boys are 21 and 15 now and we haven't had any negative issues. The 21 year old even told me when he lost his virginity and we discussed the experience. What is funny is that all of his guy friends cane and asked me questions and told me when they lost their virginity too. I have purchased a many condoms for them.

We can talk, joke about it and other peoples sex lives. But as for specifics we keep the details of our own sex lives to ourselves.

Yes. The girls in my family openly talk about it. I've actually even watched a porn before with my mom (in a non sexual way of course). We (My mom, my sister, my mom's friend and I) were all sitting there making fun of it.

My family's always been open about sex, which was pretty helpful when I was growing up. I'm definitely planning to do the same if I have children, though my mother's example is pretty difficult to live up to--she was always so non-judgmental!

My mom/sister/myself do talk about sex from time to time (though usually its more uncomfortable than informative as my sister is... how do you say more on the naive side of sex). Often jokes/comments are made that usually are said in a more judgmental tone (even if not intended to be judgmental) or even naive/stubborn/ignoran t tone so I try to stay away from open conversations now after many of the things I enjoy being placed in a dark/wrong/misundersto od/etc light.
One of my cousin's and I on the other hand are both as open as family can be with each other about sex/sexual experiences/etc. Thankfully I also have some great friends who are open to hearing or discussing the holes in conversation with family (not to mention a fantastic non-judgmental/open boyfriend).

Well that really depends on who's discussing it, us younger generation family members (my cousins and I) tend to be much more open to discussing sex than the older family members.
I can talk about things like toys and BDSM with my cousin but my aunt's always freak out. xD
